Dog House Blog, Terms of Endearment!

She who must be obeyed ignored has many terms of endearment for me. As you saw on Monday after yet another bone incident one of those is.......

What the bone was doing in the recycle bag who knows but we know not to quibble over manna from heaven.

I have many other names like...

SHUT UP MOLLY when doing the impawtant job of Homeland Security
and GET OFF THE FLOWER BED when partaking in a bit of digging gardening.
Other variations include.....
GET DOWN,
GET UP,
GET OUT,
GET IN,
COME BACK,
GO AWAY when jumping on her with muddy paws and lastly
YOU LITTLE &@~~##1£$, whatever that means.

Do your people have sweet terms of endearment for you?

  1. Oh yes. "Oh not AGAIN you little ratbag" is quite a favourite round here...

  2. That's a mighty fine collection of names, Molly. You must be very special to have so many. :) OFF OFF OFF is a common name around here, when there are more dogs than peeps on the Big Bed and the desired ratio needs to be reversed.

  4. teeeeeeheee....well Miz Molly, I have no four-footed friends, so I can't say there are any terms of endearment for me from this fuzzy lot. But I do hear, once and a while, some hisses and murmurs from the peep group of kids I teach!!!!!!!! I will NOT tell you what they call me!
    HAPPY FRIDAY!

  9. Molly it's the downside of being right all the time. Humans get antsy and start shouting! It's proof they are always wrong! ;)

  12. Our mom goes around saying Blah blah blah ERNIE blah BLAH Blah blah blah blah ERNIE!!!
Butt mostly we just ignore her.. unless we hear the snack jar lid popping open or the Fridge Door.
You know Molly... peeps just like to TALK SMACK to us.. and as you say... they must be IGNORED...unless FOOD or FUN are involved.

  13. LOL Molly, those and more! Have a wonderful weekend!

  14. Mom calls Trixie "Ugly" and Mariposa "Poo". She also called Our Molly "Tater Tot" but when we bite her she doesn't taste good.

  15. Ja, dear Molly, my humans have many names for me, the most of them don't make any sense! For I am the perfect dog and it is their fault, if they cannot understand my value!

  20. Our poor dogs get all mixed up since we inadvertently use the same monickers for all three- "No," "bed" and "quiet!" Wait. Maybe that's what they're each termed hence the reason one is always barking, one is always wandering and one always has a face in the bird cage! Oops! Maybe we should try the "YOU LITTLE &@~~##1£$" nickname... It has a nice ring to it...

  21. Oh MOLLY! What do you have to put up with?!

    OH YOU SILLY GIRL,
    YOU'RE SUCH A LITTLE POO,
STOP DOING YOUR WORRIED EYE BROWS,
And soooooooo on. I do get so distressed by its all.

  24. I can't understand half of what they say to me either Molly, Just nodding your head works for me.
I do get called Chicken at times, but I know that is something that comes out of the fridge. So not sure what they mean about that one.

  25. Mommy loves to tell us to get down, get off, and sometimes, when we don't listen, she adds our name. It's so cute.

    ReplyDelete
  26. My mom calls me "Bug" all the time and other times she calls me "Good Boy" or "Best Boy Ever". Now Stanley on the other hands is always getting in trouble for jumping all over humans and counter surfing. Mom calls him "Q-Tip" all the time cuz of the curls on his head.'

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  27. You don't have the familiar term of endearment, MOLLY…NO! That's usually the first thing we hear; though, of course, one of our names where yours is. Have a great weekend. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  28. Oh Molly I know just what you mean. When I make them laugh they call me Tobester. But when I have demanded attention once to often I am "stink bomb". And they call me "it's not dinnertime" a lot but I have no idea why.

    ReplyDelete
  29. YES, they do! Cobi-That's-Enough is a common term of endearment (when I do big barks at scary things). Ojo is lucky, she has even more terms of endearment. Ojo-NO!, Ojo-Stop-It, and Get-Out-of-There.

The people also call me Growly-Pants, and Ojo is called Crash, Dennis-the-Menace, and Tigger. It gets confusing keeping track of all these names, doesn't it? I think I need a nap now.

    Licks,
    Cobi

In unrelated news, did you know at noon, my mom makes my dad roast beef sandwiches and leaves them on the counter unattended for 1 second at a time? And they have tasty dressing and lettuce on them!
    NonononoMaggieOFF!
    And lots more.
    Yours sincerely,

  38. Sounds just like mine for Shiner BOL! And Molly, in the book I reviewed they say that dogs aren't show guilty faces. Instead they are saying "I surrender" or "I am not threat"! Maybe you can let your peep know, although I'm not sure if you'd surrender to her ;)

  39. We hear lots of silly names but we also get

    GetDownNow
    Off the counter
    Out of the sink
No, no, not the .______ (fill in the blank)

What we don't understand is that mama calls all of us by these names. She must be getting senile since she gets us mixed up so often. MOL
