The French take le micky out of our London 2012 Olympic games.
My sources at Molly Media tell me that the French are taking ‘Le Mickey’ out of Britons by showing us as pot-bellied darts and snooker players, in a Eurostar ad campaign for the Olympics. The cheeky posters feature two spoof Greek statues of naked men with beer guts pursuing the popular pub sports. Paris ad agency Leg created the images and instead of holding the iconic discus, the figures are clutching darts and a snooker cue. The usual chiselled physique has been swapped for paunches and to make them appear absolutely authentic, even sections of the cue, dart and the men's noses have been worn away with supposed erosion. Eurostar said it was a tongue-in cheek campaign, playing on the age old British –Franco rivalry. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the advertisements do not appear in England. What a bunch of beret sporting, croissant chomping, garlic smelling, frog eating cads, how dare they stereotype us like that? Remember we won 19 gold medals at the Beijing Olympics to France's meager 7, huh, so stick that up your pipe and smoke it!

Hay Molly, what would we do without you? This is hilarious, Molly. I lived in London for almost 5 years and completely understood the British wits and humour here. Loved the British-Franco rivalry. Best line is stick that pipe up your arse. Oh wait, you didn't say that?

Ahahahaha, this has made us laugh, what do he French know eh! We're heading over there for four weeks including all 3 weeks of the Olympics, we'll do our best to show them how truly great the British can be!! Glad to have found you, you're going to make us laugh here, we can tell :)
