Slog it Blog It, The Olympics Have Started!

The Queen and James Bond.

The Queen and James Bond.

We kicked off yesterday with the bells and they rang out all over the country at exactly 8.12am. But it went with a clanger as Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt rung in the start with his bell which then promptly flew of its’ handle nearly maiming some of the spectators. Then it was the night when our beloved Maj The Queen appeared in her first movie acting role proving herself a real thespian. The sequence opened at Buckingham Palace, where a tuxedo-wearing Craig as 007 was presented to the Queen by her personal footman.

The Queen and James Bond.

Maj is seen sitting at a desk writing a letter and training her corgis Monty, Willow and Holly to roll over. Greeting him with an ‘Evening, Mr Bond’, the Queen, was seen striding briskly through the palace with the action hero before climbing into a helicopter emblazoned with the Union Flag.

The Queen and James Bond.

The two were seen soaring over the streets of London and through Tower Bridge until they finally reached the Olympic Park. Maj is just too cool for school and should be the new ‘Bond Girl’!

The Queen and James Bond.

Then we jumped to John Barrys’ legendry anthem and Mr Bean accompanying his rendition of Chariots of Fire.

Mr.Bean

Definitely - nobody does it better! As for the rest ....... least said best mended! Have a great first day of the Olympics everybody.

  29. Molly, my head is spinning with all of the activity. It is so pawsome!! Frankie was outstanding and the parade was awe inspiring. The events are so exciting so far, I can't wait for more. Mommy loved the opening ceremony and Mr. Bean was her 2nd favorite. The first was of course her idol, her dream man, Sir Paul singing at the end. She was screaming like a crazy teenager. Sheeesh, embarrassing. I am glad we were home.
