Hi everyone.
I very kindly allowed my servant a
lie in today. Yep a lie in till 10.15am! This is of course nothing to do with
the fact that Pip and I are all tired out. We continue to get better but I must
say when I saw another chicken going into the oven I did think about how long I
can drag this on for? Pip and I will sit down and have a think on it. We have
decided that we must show the fool that we know that the peanut butter and jam
lumps she gives us are poisoned, so the battle of the tablets continues. Firstly
I hid and peeps had to go and find me. Then I ran away and hid again. Wow, then
it took me a whole 87 gazillion minutes to swallow mine and I drooled all over
peeps big time. Epic win! That will teach her for torturing me. Peeps continues
the patrol with the big broom. For those who don’t have urban foxes let me
assure you they brazen and not nice at all. I help by barking as much as I can and by
running all over the flower beds. All in all we are getting better everyday.
Just need to catch up on sleep and all will be back to normal next week. Squirrels be afraid, be very afraid, cause I'll be back!
Have a great day!
Molly & Pip.
Play it for all it is worth - relapses are good too (only pretend of coarse - not real ones) the humans won't know the difference :) Do squirrel chasing on the quiet though - they might get suss to the fact you are feeling better otherwise!
ReplyDeleteWe've been worried about you Molly. Medicine is yucky and our big Molly always finds her tablets no matter what we put it in. Remember though, medicine helps so take extra care of yourself and you'll be catching those critters in no time.
ReplyDeleteMilk the chicken all you can! Audi isn't smart enough to figure out his peanut butter is poisoned. You're one smart pup. Glad you two are continuing on your road to recovery :)
ReplyDeleteMolly I need to tell you this just because I am shaking my head mystified...you know baby gus has to take medicine very day also so he can get better, well daddy cuts the pill in half and puts it on the floor and gussie eats it up. We know it tastes horrible but this just goes to show mom even more how brilliant he is....geeze!!! So what I am trying to tell you is if he can take his horrible pill you can too...( mom wrote that I did not...cos I spit my pills out and maggie is the best at not taking hers)

Squirrels are the best! Maybe we can have a squirrel chasing play dog date! -Leo
ReplyDeleteI sure hope you are all better really, really soon Molly!
ReplyDeleteMolly, if I had some frequent flyer miles, I'd come out there and help you protect Pip from those nasty foxes!
ReplyDeleteNora
Dearest one! I keep coming to the wrong posts in the morning? Older posts are popping up and then I see a new post coming much later...is it me?
ReplyDeleteI must have missed a post! I hope you have nothing serious and that you will get better soon! I am sending some purrs your way.
ReplyDeleteIn other news, yesterday I received an email from your bloggie with your like 20 latest posts. I had not received one in weeks. Strange, huh?
Get well soon! Purrs
oh, i have one that refuses to take pills! i have to shove them down her throat and she coughs and gags and spits up!
ReplyDeleteThe foxes in my area aren't particularly aggressive, but they do delight in have my dogs chase them. They will stand close by, shout neener-neener at my dogs, and take off running. Then they stop and wait for my guys to catch up, and take off again. They are much more athletic, and soon disappear without a trace!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are back!!! Ha Squirrels, now run for your life :o) Mom said in the village behind the moon she visited last week, they have a park with a bazillion of this critters. They all are tame because all people feed them. Think we should spend our annual works outing there...
ReplyDeleteA chicken eh, this might go on for weeks. Hope you are secretly better and enjoyed your lie in, he he.

Oh Molly, keep getting better. And tell us, did you get in that tree all by yourself??? We have a friend that has a dog that loves to climb trees. Crazy!

I hope that y'all get better really soon!! So, how does a dog get into a tree...I kind of want to learn that trick!!
ReplyDelete~Higgins
Those nasty Squirrels...
ReplyDeleteWe hope all of you get better real soon!
Hugs and kisses!

OH YES... Molly you and PIP need to MILK this like a Fresh Cow!!
ReplyDeleteI do that Run and Hide thingy EVERY month when I (Frankie Furter) am forced to endure the Heart worm pill torture. ERNIE the Glutton... just GOBBLES his pill like an IDIOT. YOU did a super job of RESISTANCE.
We're so happy you and Pip are both clearly on the road to recovery. Pills are YUCK, peanut buttered or not!
ReplyDeleteWow, Molly, how did you get up there? Do be very careful coming down unless you have sprouted some wings that we don't see:)
ReplyDeletePlay it up bigtime for all the chicken you can get - Phantom is a tough one to get pills into too. Peanut butter seems to work best, but we hear some peeps have good luck with cream cheese too.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Molly, you like one of those monkeys I saw this past weekend way up in the tree like that! I am with you on the tablet-avoidance schemes...Ma always tries to be clever about hiding it but she doesn't realize I can smell that crappy tablet in ALL the hiding!!

Oh Molly!!! You are like superman
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
You do look high up in that tree! How did you get up there?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you haven't been well. It's not all bad if you get chicken though!
please continue to get better!
ReplyDeleteMolly, we are glad to hear you and Pip are feeling better! Cheese or liverwurst might help make the medicine go down a little easier. Sometimes if you first get a small piece of the treat without any pill in it, the second piece (with pill) goes right down the hatch. Glad to hear your person was able to get a little rest!
ReplyDeleteSusan and Wrigs
Hay Molly, those Squirrels have been running havoc in your park..BOL Better hurry up and get ya butt down there, to sort them out..xxx00xxx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
Wow! You let your peeps sleep in today?? That's unheard of around here! So jealous.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are on the mend. So the battle of the pills continues, eh? I had to get sneaky with Riley's pills after her surgery...finally, what worked was just putting them in with her food. She knew if the peanut butter or pill pockets came out that a pill was in them! Dummy didn't figure out that the pill was just sitting in her food bowl...ha ha! You surely wouldn't be dumb enough to fall for that though.
Have a great Wednesday!
Elyse and Riley
Gettin up in a tree is easy, it's getting down that's hard.
ReplyDeleteMolly, how in the world did you get up in that tree?
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better!
Still not 100% eh. Bummer. At least you get peanut butter and jam with your tabs. I just get them stuffed down my throat. Hugs x
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are under the weather. Get better soon those squirrels need to be chased! Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteThe squirrels will find you Molly!
ReplyDeleteTake your medicine, guys! We want both of you better soon!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
So happy you're back in the game!
ReplyDeleteRoxy has to have the 'poke and cheese' method....yuck!
XXXOOO Daisy, bella & Roxy
I would milk the chicken thing for all you can get out of it!! "We really feel so much better with the chicken, Mum! No chicken tonight? Uh-oh... I think I'm having a set-back."
ReplyDeleteWe had to give our last pup many pills - some of them were too big and smelly to hide, so we just learned to pop them down her throat and follow them up with a really great treat. Hope the pills are done soon!
Glad you're both feeling better! Nice to hear that you're getting fresh roast chicken, your Peeps have the right idea. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy ya'll are feeling a little better...gotta ask how in the world you got in that tree though?!
ReplyDeleteYou keep getting better Miss Molly!
ReplyDeleteAlso, how does your Share is Sunday work, what do I do...?
You are sounding a lot better Miss Molly!!
ReplyDeleteWally & Sammy

ReplyDeleteOh good I'm so happy to hear that you and Pip are on the mend Molly...now tell me, how did you fly up onto that tree branch? That's a trick I need to learn..Get lots of naps (and lots of chicken) and feel better soonest
ReplyDeleteSounds like you sure did show the peeps Molly. Sounds like you are feeling much better.
ReplyDeleteHowdy Molly, hope your pills are all finished soon. It sounds kinda fun though with all the chasing and hiding and stuffs hehe. Mum had a little sob when she read about you sleeping in till 10.15 am. We LOVE to get her up nice and early and then we go back to sleep while she sits giving us the stink eye ahahahahaha. Take care mates. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteKeep safe from the fox and get all the chicken. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteHey Molly,
ReplyDeleteSounds like your plan is going really well buddy!! :) Can your Mum get Pill Pockets in England? I totally love them, I know my Mum hides pills inside but I don't care cos the pockets just taste SO yummy!! :)
Glad you've warned the Squirrels you'll be back, don't want them thinking they can take over!
Get well soon
Your pal Snoopy :)
