Dog House Blog, Larry Is Sacked.

Larry The Dining Street Cat is sacked!

David Cameron Sacks Larry The Cat!

Larry the cat was originally adopted by our Prime Minister ‘Just Call Me Dave’ from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Like his owner, Larry takes his chillaxing very seriously but it would appear this time he has gone too far. His mouse catching has amounted to nothing less than a cat-alog of disasters and one cat-astrophy after another. The last straw came when he was found fast asleep in the study at ‘Number 10’ whilst a mouse ran amok unhindered. Previously it had taken 6 months before Larry had had a confirmed kill and since then the score board reads an astounding big fat zero. In the second major reshuffle this month Larry has now been sidelined as ‘Chief Mouser’ due to paw performance. Mr Cameron has now drafted in Chancellor George Osborne's tabby Freya as the new Mouser of State to patrol the ‘Corridors of Pawer’. Sources claim Larry will be partially relinquished of his duties and have described the new arrangement as a job share to avoid any hurt felines. However my sources at Molly Media have informed me that Larry is furr-ious and has taken to coughing up hair-balls of fury on ‘Just Call Me Daves’ impawtant documents. “The press are just against me and are acting as a mousepiece for Freya’s advancement to number 10, she will do anything to claw her way to the top” an angry Larry told us. “I will be suing ‘Just Call Me Dave’ for meowlicious purrsecution,” he stated adamantly. We think he will be milking this for all that it is worth!

  4. Hi Molly,
Thats so unfair to Larry, Just call me Dave had no right to have a cabinet reshuffle without consulting the Cheif Mouser. How does Dave know it was only 1 mouse, Larry could have buried them. Like most of the government Larry was only doing what ALL politians do burying bad smells!

  5. You go Larry. If Larry ever wanted to call me I could lend a paw. Voles are a lot like mice and my score board ready 87 to 3 in my favor.

  15. We hope Larry has learned his lesson. We would try to give him some tips, but our skills tend toward bunny hunting rather than mousing.

  16. Molly....
Larry the Cat sounds like Garfield!! He is always friends with mice.... Allowing them to room in Jon's house!! Hee, hee, hee.... ;-D
Seriously, however. I owned a feline once, this boy named Yoda, who never--never--chased or caught mice!!
Love, Raelyn.... And Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!

  18. We haven't met a mouse. Well, we had a hamster brother before and all Cosmo did was carry him all over the house and leaving saliva all over Knut. Ling wasn't the least bit interested.

  33. I'm scared for the mouse! run, run, run!

We slept for 3 nights in a van with a mouse. I was terrified. Our dogs did nothing about it. Maybe we need a cat.
