Kirby goes to Doggy-Daycare!

Hey all,

So if you have been reading my posts lately you might have read about the fact that winter has/is taken its toll on Kirby’s socialization a bit! He now does a bit of a warning bark if he sees dogs usually now, and will keep barking unless they just ignore him and go up to him,or I push him to see them anyways, then he is fine. Either way though it is a bit annoying and makes most people not want to bring their dogs to see him if he does it so I am trying to work on it right now. I decided while I am trying to figure out what doggy school is best for him to go to, in regards to help with his socialization, we would go again to Doggy Daycamp. I don’t take him there a lot because it is about a half hour drive from my place, so this was only his second time. We got up early, and Kirby was already ready to go as he jumped on my….uh face, as usual to let me know, as usual he was up so I should be too! He slept most of the ride there. When we got there he was nervous, as you can see with the tail between his legs in the video, but when we picked him up he was all good, just really missed us as you can see, lol.

Here is the video, made just for you guys! I was nervous so I repeated myself and made weird facial expressions….:S I tried to keep it as short as possible for ya guys too,so sorry if its a bit choppy.

About Me!

Hello there!!! My name is Leah. I’m just a girl of mixed heritage (German, Irish, French, etc) who met a beautiful little mixed puppy named Kirby. I love writing, animals ( went to school in the field), and anything you can do on a computer, so I thought why not put it all together!

My goal in this little blog is to discuss, obsess, and digress about anything and everything dog, or animal related, Kirby being my basis for all this of course. I feel for me at least, and many animal lovers, dogs are a so special in life,  and someone once told me, “is possibly the only thing that can love you more than it loves itself”. That to me  just speaks volumes.

I love my dog, and the adventures we have together are not only comical but I feel instantly happier  just learning what I can about this little being I call mine. In the end, I think any positive thing someone can give you in life is not only healing but beneficial  to living a meaningful one, and if one thing I write or picture of Kirby makes you smile, that in turn is what makes me feel like I’m helping…even just a little bit.:)

If there is anything you are interested in talking about, or that you want Kirby to try out, please don’t hesitate to email me at: kinderkinderr(at)yahoo.ca

Continuing to give something back on my ‘Share It Sunday’. We all share and we grow together.  Pop over say hello and make a new friend.

  12. Molly darlin'! Yes precious, that red bird is a cardinal! You would have a blast chasing them; they are very aggressive and LOUD, but ever so beautiful.

Our icicles are telling me that winter is ON HIS WAY OUT! Soon the squiggles will invade our garden AND deck and practically knock at our door to come in!

    Be well sweet friends! Anita

  17. Having Dachshunds. I deal with the barking at other dogs regularly. Chester always barks because he is frustrated that people and dogs are not coming to say hi. Gretel barks because she wants them to go away. No one but me can really tell the difference though :(
