Dog House Blog, Blast From The Past, We Have A Passion For Fashion!
Today we are going to have a blast from the past and take a look at some fashion that are more miss than hit. We say thank you to Mark over here for giving us this idea. Now let's take a trip down memory lane.
Indeed you'd collared by the fashion police if you wore this!
And so to bed! Did anyone tell her she still has her shower cap on?
The family that dresses together stays together!
Wow we could make it Tank Top Thursday! Couldn't we?
For all you knitters out there. Smile you so know you want one!
Chuck in a bit of yoga while posing for the camera!
Men we can't have you feeling left out. Ask the dear lady to run you up one of these.
Do you think they do a squirrel version?
Wow slack power? More kak power!
And lastly look good in the hood!
Have a terrific Tank Top Thursday folks.

What's really funny is we have a lady that only works a few days a month at work and she wears a lot of retro stuff that looks very much like photo #1 and I have to say I always look forward to her arrival days so I can see what she'll wear, boots all all - she has all sorts of retro stuff and does it I think to sorta be fun and silly but somehow it's really "her" and is actually cute on her while being a flashback too! BOL!! Great post as always to get my morning off to a wonderful start! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI REMEMBER THESE FASHIONS WHILE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL! And what were they thinking in those days about nightys for young women....a granny cap? WOW! TImes have CHANGED miss molly!
ReplyDeleteThose are all hilarious! It makes you wonder what styles we are wearing today that we will be laughing at 40 years from now? Any ideas? Maybe the Uggs boots all the kids wear, or the sparkly shoes...It's funny how it seems normal while you are living it, and then hilarious many years later.....

Hi Molly,
ReplyDeleteThats so funny ...... looks like less of the dressing up box, more like an acid trip, you need something to go out in those!
OMD WE are glad that our peeps are the Blue Jeans and sweatshirt types...
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that was ever cool. The first dress, the nightshirts and the last pic especially.
ReplyDeletePlease call the fashion police! My granny had such a dress with a killer-collar. It was screaming orange with white dots. I'm glad she wasn't arrested for wearing such an eye-killer, think she had to stay in jail till the eternity for this fashion-crime :o) Have a fashionable thursday Molly :o)

PS my dad had some plaid polyester pants 87 years ago. Mom said my sis used to call them clown pants.
Molly, that first dress would be cute if it weren't for that bizarre collar. Yep, these gems are what some people wore back in the day. That last one is really hilarious. Pimp my closet!
ReplyDeleteSusan and Wrigs
Oh my goodness. That gave me such a laugh!
ReplyDeleteWe can just our Mom sporting one of those nighties with the matching "shower" cap. But we would really love to see Dad wearing one of those nightshirts and then getting up in the morning to don those plaid slacks - what a hoot that would be!!!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
I will NOT admit to ever wearing any of these...but let's just say that some of them do look familiar BOL! I remember a large disagreement over the wearing of plaid pants...He wore them, and now he's an 'ex' ...some things just can't be compromised
