Walmart is offering a $119 pair of slip-ons that look more like slip
overs. These odd looking shoes have become a hit not with consumers but with reviewers. All reviews of the shoes, which feature a
very pronounced square toed shape, give them five stars but the comments
themselves reveal a marked sense of fun and sarcasm. 'I've been wearing them
around the house pretty much every day!' wrote one reviewer, adding the best
part is, I can flip pancakes with them! The website's description of the
footwear reads, 'Alluring square toe slip-on with charming detail and design. A
must have for your dress collection this season.' However their bizarre shape give them a clownish
appearance. Calling them a 'time saver', one customer wrote that the
multi-purpose shoes are very convenient on snowy, winter days. 'When I really
don't want to go to work I quite often drag my feet on the way to the car,' he
wrote. 'Thanks to these new super-shoes, I can shovel the pavement while I
walk!' He then added that the pair are 'a must-have for anyone who hates the
repetition of snow shovelling, or has Sideshow Bob feet.' Another commenter
remarked on the shoes said 'When I wore
them out of the store you should have seen the looks I was getting,' he wrote.
'All the mamacitas were checking them out and saying they were looking good.' The
reviewer pointed out that the shoes have one setback, however: 'You need to
wear mudguards as on a rainy day or you will get your face splashed if you
don't watch it,' he explained. Some of the customers note in their reviews that
the shoes can be used for other purposes. 'I locked myself out of my apartment
last Sunday,' wrote Civad from Rhode Island. 'Luckily, I was wearing my Zota G803-10's and
was able to use them to wedge my door open! These shoes were more useful than a
credit card.' Another said: 'The bindings are very comfortable, and there is
plenty of storage space for keys and loose change.' A definite design failure
we say. At last a formal shoe for the well dressed clown.

ReplyDeleteSoooooo glad I don't wear shoes.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Hey Molly!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a crazy set of foot-wear! OMD would any peep really wear those in public? I can't imagine. Hey, they'd be good for pooper-scooping too!! Scrape those poopers right off any sidewalk in a flash. BWAR HAR HAR I think I have a craving for pancakes now, but I'll have Dad use te spatula in the kitchen instead. Thanks for the laugh, my good furiend and you look very chic in your glasses!

BOL! Whoever made that flipping pancakes comment was right on! Have a great Wednesday Molly!
ReplyDeleteWE are with SARGE.... those would make SUPER POOPER SCOOPER thingys... Our mom would probably want a pair fur that reason... BUTT we want to know...DO they COME IN BROWN????
ReplyDeleteWhere is the Fashion Police? But at least you can use this shoes as swimfins - the White Shark will get a heartattack. Have a trendy wednesday
ReplyDeleteOh Molly....thank you so much for reviewing these for us. Now I know just what NOT to buy! BOL
ReplyDeleteOMG, this made me laugh! too dang funny!
ReplyDeleteI used to be a fat, stupid bum, living on the street in a mud puddle. Then I got a pair of those shoes and now I am a slim and trim millionaire genius playboy with a beautiful wife and I live in a giant mansion. I wear these shoes everywhere!
ReplyDeleteHA! Well at least they would be easy to find in the closet Molly!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteSeriously weird shoes but you know - they do kinda make more sense then pointed shores cause last time we checked our feet are not pointy :) :)
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me? LOL....who would think these are OK? I love the review comments though, too funny.
ReplyDeleteO M D the reviews are great, but seriously who? would buy these?
ReplyDeleteBailey, Hazel & Greta

ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
WTP!!!! Those are the silliest paw coverings I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteLove Noodles
The inventor probably got the idea from his pet platypus. BOL.
ReplyDeleteLove the reviews, LOL.
ReplyDeleteEverybody needs at least one pair of shoes like that, we need more laughs in this world!
Dip Bridge and Elliot x
OMG those are BEYOND ugly!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some 60's shoes that nobody would wear!
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
With our Mom's size 10 1/2 AAAfoot, she wouldn't be able to even take a step with those. They would be more like skis!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
YIKES! Those are (a) ugly as sin, and (b) desperately more uncomfortable looking than those pointy toed things my Mom wore back in the 70s!!!
ReplyDeleteKitty Hugs, Sammy
Mom says you would have to pay Her a heck of a lot more than $119 to wear those silly shoes in public! :)
ReplyDeleteThanksMolly for showing me the ugliest shoes I have yet to ever see in my life! bahahah xoxoxo leah and kirby
ReplyDeleteA must for your dress collection? I wouldn't wear them with dresses. Heh heh. Very funny.
ReplyDeleteThey might be useful but they are weird looking!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Ambassadors of Love
You find the funniest stuff. Those are hideous - indeed perfect for the well-dressed clown!
ReplyDeleteThose would be great shoes to chew! lee and phod
ReplyDeleteMOL!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if these shoes could help me open the pantry where our food is...
Purrs
I'm no fashionista, but I wouldn't be caught dead in those! Thanks for the laugh, Molly :)
ReplyDeleteIf you wanted to become a handyman or handywoman, just buy some pairs of these shoes and wear them. Some one says, "I need a screwdriver" you would just take a shoe off and demonstrate how you could remove screws with the pointy toe. Some one says " I need a hammer" and you can demonstrate how that clunky heel could hammer. I'm sure there are several more applications but I would have to see the shoe up close and in person to make that decision.
ReplyDeleteExcellent shoe!
Jo in MN
Hmmm....
ReplyDeleteInteresting shoes....
Interesting.....
Happy Wednesday!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Yikes, talk about ugly. But then after reading all the comments we see that these shoes would have many other uses besides making a fashion statement. We predict they will be all the rage at the Clown College graduation ceremony.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Cindi Lou & The Kitty Krew
Hmmm nope! Lol! And I definitely wouldn't pay that much for them either =P
ReplyDeleteOk...mom just fell of her chair she was laughing so hard!
ReplyDeleteWally & Sammy
The reviews are great! The shoes? Not so much!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, those shoes are unreal! I thought the booties my Mum keeps trying to get me were bad, but these are way worse! :)
ReplyDeleteWags to all,
Your pal Snoopy :)
yukky!
ReplyDeleteWow! Had to looks these up. Here's another great review: "These shoes are amazing! Thanks to their amazing design, I just swam across the Atlantic in 2 days! My platypus friends could hardly keep up!"
ReplyDeleteSusan and Wrigs
