Dogton Abbey Blog, Mrs.Petmore Swore She'd Never Be Poor!

DOWNTON ABBEY? MOLLY THE WALLY DOES DOGTON ABBEY.

The Cast!

Series 2  Episode 6 Mrs.Petmore Swore She'd Never Be Poor!

Mrs.Petmore Dogton Abbeys' cook started life as a lowly critter living with ma and pa who ran the village grocery store. But Mrs.Petmore thought it a bore and swore she would never be poor. So to her kin her anger she did vent and without a goodbye to the big house she went. There she was hell bent on finding herself a gent. Without a cent and full of torment she worked for a new self to invent.

Her kin she did resent and refusing to repent at learning her craft her time was spent. But the pots and pans never seemed to end and in the kitchen all her time she did spend. At night she would fish out her book and through it would look and so learnt to cook.

She never did hook a gent but in time was took up as the cook and happy she was with her outlook. But the pots kept piling up and to the hooch she did sup for in a short time she became an unhappy pup.

Thus behind the green door this is the life Mrs.Petmore had opted for and life now was one to abhor.

She drank to forget as with no coronet or baronet she took to the claret and called herself Mrs. The pots and pans would topple making a din as she developed a taste for gin which would make her head spin.

Her plight to the eyes of the family came and they did not know who to blame and thought it all a great shame.

With an urge to get tipsy she take on some dusting for really a drink she was busting.

She'd head off to the grand rooms in search of some hooch much to the sadness of the family.

Now she got a bad reputation all across the nation and there was no way she could advance her station. The family hoped it was a fad and the booze they forbad but Mrs.Petmore other plans had. So now forever she is destined to work in Dantes’ Inferno…..Hells’ Kitchen. It is a sad, sad tale of one who did fail but with help the family kept her out of jail. They hoped with a helping paw they could keep her on the right side of the law and help her bitter feelings thaw.

Next week who really is Mr.Bites?  Is he a wimp and why does he limp? Lots of silver to clean, scandal and intrigue at every turn. What has Mr Bites been up to in Upstairs Downstairs…..we need a Stannah Stair Lift? Stay tuned as life’s sure is a bitch when you are rich and you live in Dogton Abbey.

  2. Dear Molly,
your story is fantastic! I'm so sorry I can't watch your video. They say to me you blocked the content to my country to save your rights. I just don't believe this! Did you? These are the tricky Germans that make us crazy with their copyrights! What a pity for me!
