Dog House Blog, Torture On Tasty Tuesday!

Torture On Tasty Tuesday!

OK so I am giving my staff that looks that says it is treat time.

So she who must be obeyed ignored presents me with contraption.

Fool give me my treats now I say.

So she does this. I tell you all it is an implement of torture worthy of The Spanish Inquisition. I barked at it and growled and whacked with my paws.

Then I thought...well when in Rome. You have to get in the there and ferret about.

I am going in........I may be some time.

A bit of tongue action on a Tuesday.

I am going at it from the left......

and then from the right.......

After 87 million hours of torture they are all gone.

This is called an Interactive Bowl by Green and is supposed to make food and treats more fun and last longer. Why in the world would she the dim-wit think I'd want one of these? You just can't get good staff these days.

We were not asked to do a review or paid for this. SHE just thought it was an excellent product but then again what would she know? Next time I will put her dinner in it. Huh!

Have a terrific tasty Tuesday all.

  1. Oh Molly, I totally sympathise. Gail gave me something similar for Christmas. After a few seconds trying to figure it out with logic, I switched to the frantic whacking with the paws strategy. Seemed to work. But how much easier just to be given a box of snacks.

  4. There is one easy trick to that " thing ". Stick your nose under the edge and flip the whole thing over...all the treats would fall out and no other work necessary ;)

Mom's friend has a Corgi...he kind of gets gassy because he eats too fast.
So years ago they improvised on something similar to this. They have huge place mat on the floor they put his treats in all kinds of crazy patterns. I think his kibble is in one of those dishes with a tube in the middle.

  9. Yes, but didn't the eating pleasure last a bit longer for you, Molly? Without this you would have inhaled that whole pile of treats in like one se

  13. Our mom has been talking about getting us some of those things also, so far she hasn't. She thinks gussie would really like it, the problem with us tho is we have no snouts or noses to get it out of the cracks, we would starve to death for sure.

  14. Hehe..my cat buggy needs one of these, he's a binge and purge cat because he eats too fast and doesn't chew. Its a tortue device for someone as smart as you.

  18. Ha ha Molly I'm laughing loud. What a great story. To put your "staffs" food in this, how funny to watch her eat. You may have to take som pictures to show me :) Wags from Laika.

  19. Rita would probably be afraid of it and go hungry. You should show your staff, Molly - tip it over next time and then we'll see who's brilliant! :)

  20. Oh Mollie, how could they torture you with that contraption. Perhaps you should give it a bit of a chew?

  21. We hope we NEVER find that contraption in our house!

  22. Well done Molly, bet Frankie de tabby would have beaten you against the clock on that though, or maybe not if you had some competition. Yeah, sling their tea in it see how they like it.......... can't see that happening somehow. Luvs Freya X

  25. Wow, that was an interesting contraption! I'm glad you didn't give up and got all them treats!

  26. Isn't it more fun if she just hands you the treats?!?! This is something my mom would think is a good idea, too.
Wait. Did you say there are ferrets in Rome?!? We should go. They'd be more fun to chase than squirrels, even!!!

  27. Yeah??!! Well, put her food in it!

  28. can't think they would sell many of these, it all looks a bit messy, Ambercat would just swipe it up in the air so the treats fall out, methinks you would have done so too, but you were far to polite Molly to spoil your peeps afternoon of entertainment - maybe it would make a really good chewy toy?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Wow - your mom is sure a meanie, Molly! We can't believe how hard she made you work!

    Love ya lots♥

  30. Did she feed you the line that it's, "because you're so smart." Or some nonesense like that. Ahem, we know we're smart...we don't need weird food dispensers to prove it.

  32. Poor Molly,
you had to work to eat some treats! That's very mean of your Mom! But they were a lot, so it was at the end a good thing and you did your job very well!

  34. Ha ha! We were mortified, yet laughing (quite nervously) through your entire blog post! Good help is so hard to find these days, you may need to hire new staff! Woof!

  37. From River: I hate those things. Take my advice. Just tip it over. Makes it a lot easier.

  40. That is so silly looking, but that appears to be a whole lot of treats. If we could have that many treats at one time, we'd be glad to spend the day trying to get them out. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  41. Don't you just hate it when we have to work for treats Molly? Our mama puts our treats in a funny looking little ball. We have to roll that thing all over the house just to make a single treat fall out. A cat could starve that way.

  42. OMD, mom saw one of them at our local pet food shop...did it make the treats taste better??

  44. Shiner agrees with you about these puzzle feeder things Molly. She'd much rather gobble things up straight from the bowl! I don't think I've seen one like yours before.

  45. Typist wants to get one of those for her dog!

    ReplyDelete
  46. They really made you work for those treats!

  47. Silly humans....they got me one of those "puzzle treat" thingies too....why waste do they time better spent on naps like that??

  48. Goodness that was some torture! My mom knows better than to try something like that on me I would destroy it! Good job! Love Dolly

    ReplyDelete
  49. Oh no! The horror...well, at least you got to finish the treat. I think doing that with her food sounds like a fair trade off. Looking forward to seeing photos from that! Much love, The Scottie Mom.

  50. That's a contraption bowl torture. I would never get one for my dogs, they do not have long snouts.
