Windy Wednesday and The Cortex Of The Polar Vortex.

Windy Wednesday and The Cortex Of The Polar Vortex.

Molly The Wally On A Windy Day!

Although unusually mild here across the pond we are being battered by high winds and heavy rain. Worry not as you can see I am well prepared. I am keeping my ears close to my head incase I get blown away a la The Flying Nun.

So on windy Wednesday

It sure is wild over here.

And onto the Polar Vortex........when icicles are not so niceicles.....

Stay warm and dry and safe everybody. We say a prayer or two today, for farmers, their livestock and wildlife out there both here and across the pond.

  9. You're wise to hold on to your ears! Mine give me enough trouble when it's windy and yours are longer than mine!

  10. OMD...I didn't even consider that! If my ears caught just the right wind condition, I would find myself flying across the pond. Please catch me upon my arrival!

  12. This is a January similar to the ones when I was a kid, (but they didn't have any fancy names for it then). They also didn't ever close the schools which they do at a drop of a hat now. I remember trudging through snow and nasty wind chills. I want a do over! lol

  13. When we were on holiday in the Lakes over Christmas the spring bulbs were coming up, Daffodils coming up in December the weathers gone mad, it was unseasonly mild.

Mom says it is times like this she wishes she was home...but then again she called her sis yesterday and she said it was 48 degrees C over there in Australia - that is 118 degrees Fahrenheit !!!!!!!!!! Hmmmm you know you can always add layers to get warm but there is only so many layers you can take off to cool down......maybe the cold isn't so bad

Wow, what pretty pix, even if they are cold! It's freezing and I'm starting to dream of Spring sunshine. Great post about remembering the chilly, less fortunate critters who are outside in this. Happy Wednesday, my furiend.

  37. It was a summer of wild weather, and now all this cold and snow and rain and wind. Mother Nature must be very angry at something.

Stay safe. We are starting to warm up, but rain is on the way. Rain, warm temps, and melting snow = MUD!!!

  43. It's been pretty cold here too and very wet - but all the puddles are frozen. Yesterday it was around 12 degrees! Today it was warmer - around 30 - and I went swimming in the river and got little icicles on my tummy! I wasn't cold tho cause I was bred for these temperatures.
