The Spam Scam On Thoughtful Tuesday!

So I am sitting on she who must be obeyed ignored's knees whilst waiting for my crew.

Thought I'd better check out my pee-mail. Hey I got one here from Nigeria saying they need me to urgently send them some money or I will be cursed for eternity.

This one is asking me to send $100 so they can process my $2 million lottery win.

Oh my, now this one says I have a huge inheritance waiting for me and all I have to do is send $500 for the solicitor to process my claim.

How about this one that says they want some money and they will make sure I have good luck for ever and ever.

Phew, those are exhausting I think I need a drink.

Dear folks in Nigeria

I am a dog.
I have no money.
I don't do the lottery.
I have no pups or dog family in your country.
BOGOFF and not the super market kind.

Yours Angry Of Suburbia.

Do you get spam and do you find them funny but irritating?

  2. So far, we've had a few inquiries to help people get money OUT of Nigeria. Also, we could be the long lost relatives of RICH Britains....

Our Pee-mail is more gossip than frauds....we think.

  4. oh guess what? I've got the same mails. Does it mean we have to share the two millions (than it is not really a bargain) or will they send the two million bucks to you and to me? and btw: they offered an enlargement for special bodyparts, but only this week, do you think it's worth to send them the 5oo bucks?

  5. He he we got a mail which told us that our family in Spain just died. We should inherit a lot of money. We just needed to send our bank account number and a lot of money to inheritance tax. Then we would get our heritage. The only problem I see is: We have no family in Spain and have never had it, and the money should be sent to a coffee master, googled the name (no lawyer). How stupid do they think my mom and dad are??? LOL.

  27. What a funny take on "spam." Dogs would never leave spam pee-mail, eh? They're just too honest for that. So much better than people! Mostly, I find spam irritating, but sometimes you do just have to laugh! Some of the latest phishing ones are starting to look pretty believable - except you can almost always count on there being some egregious spelling/grammar mistakes.

  34. We don't get e-mails but I do get phone calls all the time! Not quite the same though - apparently I took out a loan 10 years ago and I now owe the company like 6 grand! Bearing in mind I am only 14 years old, so I was about 4 when I took out this loan! Jeez, I knew I was clever but I didn't think that much of myself! ;P

Howdy Molly, about 10 years ago our brother who was eight at the time received a letter telling him that "Aunty Mary" had died and he was up for huge money and if he would send his bank details it was all his!!! Mum laughed cause she said at the time if anyone saw our bank balance they probably would send us money ahahahahaha. Thanks for the laughs. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  38. Sadly, Molly, Mom says we often get more spam mail than real mail:( It is utterly amazing that those spammers really think they can get someone to buy into their schemes, but then again, many do.

  41. Apparently the Nigerian has family worldwide, he thinks we are related too. We gets spam but it all goes into a spam folder where mama laughs as she happily deletes it. We do find it rather disturbing that the spammers are infiltrating pee mail too.

  49. Ambercat puts her big fat purry paw on my laptop and stops me opening those sort of emails - I am a greedy human and easily fooled, she is constantly vigilant and reminding me you don't get anything for nothing in this world, unless you're a cat. We would like to tell all those stupid peeps to bogof too.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yep I get those. Don't they know we want treats not cash??!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hahahaha! Yep, we get the same type of junk….usually from Africa…where some billionaire chief has died & his widow must get the funds out of the country! Of course I will give you my banking info so you can deposit billions into my account…yeah….I'll get right on that!
The best one yet is from "Microsoft"…apparently I'm having issues with my PC. Especially since I have a Mac….and from what I have read….the "rep" gets very abusive and foul mouthed! Scams are everywhere!!
Have a paw some day…and thanks for the chuckle.
