Flog It Blog It, Bin The Skip!

Molly The Wally & that unsightly skip bought by Brighton as a work of art.

Unsightly skip bought by Brighton as a work of art.

Taxpayers fork out £95,000 for this artistic skip, placed in Brighton city centre to 'make people think'! Mr. Batchelor has imaginatively named this work 'Skip'! Curator Celia Davies said, 'It is just amazing how he can transform ordinary, everyday objects into something extraordinary. I think it’s amazing how an ordinary, everyday object can be transformed into a mundane, run of the mill thing.  It could be worth £95'000 but only if somebody dumps a bag containing £94,999 and 99 pence in it. Never mind ‘conceptual art’, someone who touts rubbish to sell sub-standard goods is usually called a con-artist. I hope some enterprising fly-tipper chucks his rubbish in it and tax payers should demand a refund. Just pasted some dried kibbles on a canvas and called it ‘Tasteless’ sending it to Mr Saatchi as we speak along with my unmade dog basket (cha-ching).

  1. This really is rubbish Molly, you are so right. Perhaps they are waiting to see how long it takes before someone puts a mattress and a car in it...lol!
