Dog House Blog, When Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word!

Molly The Wally is sorry!

When sorry seems to be the hardest word.

What do you do once in a blue moon? Clear your schedule and make time as tonight a rare pheromone will occur resulting in a blue moon. The last one was in March 2010 and another won’t be around until July 2015 (bit like the London buses). It is the actual result of potent volcanoes and ash clouds that turn the moon such a hue. We haven’t seen any real volcanoes recently except maybe the explosion and steam that comes from my peeps head when I have been bad. That is when sorry seems to be the hardest word! Thus in celebration of tonight's event we say.....

Sorry for eating Spring grass and depositing it under the coffee table AGAIN!

Sorry for rolling in road-kill and unmentionables and then having a good stretch on the bed!

Sorry for stealing butter and then using your legs as a human napkin.

Sorry for the cat attack alerts in the wee small hours.

Sorry for helping in the garden but we aren’t to know which are flowers and which are weeds.

Sorry for the huge vet bill due to encounters of a close kind with the evil cat Maudikae.

Sorry for rolling in bubble gum and getting it all over the soft furnishings.

And lastly sorry for the hot water bottle, slug beer and duck incidents to name a few.

Well we can say sorry, just once in a blue moon. What sins have you committed recently?

For more Blue Moon stuff why not pop over to the Remington research center!

  6. To use a human napkin needs no sorry - that's style...and better butter on the leg than beans in the ears, isn't it? Have a wonderful Friday, Molly!

  10. Hi Molly,
Sorry seems to be the hardest word, it is when you're a dog, so my advise to you,is DON'T! Just carry on looking cute, just gaze at your human with those bog brown eyes, actions speak louder than words!

  11. GOOD GOLLY MIZ MOLLY! YOU TOO? YOU TOO have been naughty? Well chez nous, some CAT could not control his/her instincts to kill and to my CHAGRIN, I found a decapitated bunny rabbit in my garden. Now that was BAD! But you, look at you...you precious thing, YOU. I know your peeps will forgive you because quite frankly, (dogs are more understanding!!!)

BE WELL and BE GOOD! Anita

  12. Surely you can't be talking about Miss Molly???? We are probably going to miss the blue moon tonight because we will have some rain, finally, even if it is only going to be a little bit.

But we did have lots of fun doing wild and crazy zoomies in the dark last night under that very big and bright moon.

Wow, I'll be howling fur sure tonight! Great info. As for sorry, I'm usually sorry for the stinkies that my butt makes. I don't really mind at all, but it sure gets my Peeps all kinds of upset. Wimps.

  18. OH NOES Molly you were attacked by a cat!! Surely it must have been a wild cat...for no sane cat would attack your sweet precious face. Mom and I applaud you for being woman enough to admit your mistakes and say I'm sorry. Bravo

We have clouds currently so we're hoping they move on in time for us to see the Blue Moon

  23. Hey Molly, with a cute and sad looking pic, why do you need to say sorry, your just doing what we dogs do best,as Mom says, "now what did you guys get into". Then Dad comes along and says "Ahhh it's OK" and give us some hugs. Maybe we need Blue Moons to be a world wide "Forgive Your Doggie Day".

  28. Thanks for tip about the blue moon. I has sawed some beer bottles around our house with that name on them. So I think what happens is the peoples drink too much beer and then the moon looks blue. Right?

    Love,

  29. Molly, how long did it take you to rack up the list of things to be sorry for? Maybe you should think about more often than once in a blue moon!

  30. Both boys are guilty of barking their fool heads off at 6 in the morning to alert us that the backyard squirrels are awake! But it's definitely not a Once in a Blue Moon occurrence....more of an every morning thing!

  36. Howdy Molly, with a sweet face like yours how could you possibly do wrong, hehehe. We have dug a nice big hole in the middle of the lawn, Rory has left slobbery slime trails all over the benchtops and slobber splatters all over the house, we both bark at people walking by and I (Stella), according to mum am a bossy little bxxch. We think we are like Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way ahahahahaha. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  45. Okay Molly, here is my tip for you. Start watching NCIS(Naval Criminal Investigative Service) starring Mark Harmon. He has many Life Rules he lives by but one of the most important is "Never Apologize, it shows your weakness".

So that is what I try to do now, if my Mom is mad at me for something, calls me and gives me a lecture, I listen, but then I just turn and walk away. I would advise you to do that, don't hide, just go to your bed and take a nap. Works good.

Do you get NCIS in England? I hope you can watch it, its a good show on for 10 seasons with a great cast of peoples.

Thanks for commenting on my blog, Molly, I love it. I have been shabby commenting lately because of some works my Mom has to do, but she has promised me we will get better.

    Hugs,

    Stella
