Dog House Blog, Sicky Icky & Problem Paw!

Molly The Wally Is Unwell.

Molly The Wally Is Unwell.

It’s been a tough old time for me as the sicky icky came back again. Lots more blood for dramatic effect and thus it was off to the dawgtor for more hockey cockey pockey. This was followed by a nab, a jab and it certainly was'nt FAB and once more not a treat it sight! To round matters off, I also have developed a rather large ouchie. I must at this point stress the fact that it had nothing to do with my attempt at self medicating. My round the clock liking had left me with two options. Firstly the ‘Cone of Shame’ narrowly avoided due to my tendency to be somewhat clumsy. Option two was selected and I now sport a rather hideous blue bandage. Yes that is right, blue, they didn’t even think of my feelings and give me nice girly pink one with maybe some flowers on it.

Molly The Wally Is Unwell 2!

Now I am blaming the ouchie on my peeps. It was that dreaded time when out comes the clippers and even the mention of the word pawdicure sends shivers down my spine.

Molly The Wally Is Unwell 3!

I close my eyes in dread and this is what I see when I open them. Yep, nightmare mega clippers! I know it is nearly Halloween but don’t you think that is going a bit too far?

Molly The Wally Is Unwell 4!

Seems the nightmare mega clippers have seen some real cutting action. Looks like peeps will be doing alot of hopping around from now on.

I in the meantime have fished out my spell book and will be casting a few get well spells.

Double, double toil and trouble,
Hairy stubble and tummy rumble.

Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake,
Eye of newt, and toe of rat,
Wool of bat, and tongue of cat,
Adder’s fork, and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg, and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble

Double, double toil and trouble,
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

We got an award from the lovely Higgins! We say a big warm thank you. We appreciate it very much.

We are sorry to say that dear Angel is now an angel. Please pop over to Our Friend and give them some kind words. We are sad that the outcome was not a happy one.

  14. Oh Molly, I've been missing in action for weeks I know - and when I'm back, I have to read the bad news about your health. I'm very sorry, it looks like you are having a rough time of it. The blue bandage looks kinda cool though so I wouldn't worry too much. We do hope you feel better soon! We had a HUGE chuckle at the clippers - I have a bit of a meltdown the minute I see nail clippers heading my way so I truly relate! Take it easy Molly and look after yourself.

  34. OMD, did you really do it, Molly??? That'll teach the humans to mess with your nails.

And what's up with the paw licking? You know Thunder is just now getting over his episode. The bandage worked with him for about three days and then the dreaded cone. Hoping you can avoid it and you paw heals quickly.

  41. Hey Molly,

They really should have given you a Pink Girlie bandage buddy!! I had one of those one time but I had it off in about 20 seconds, you've just gotta tug at it and it'll come right off - just saying!! Tee Hee

    Hope you're paws better soon,

    Your pal Snoopy :)

  42. Mollie, you are suffering, we can sense it! And those giant clippers, they must drive you to drink! But seriously, leave the blue bandage alone cuz you surely don't want the cone of shame!!

    Your friends,

    Murphy & stanley

  43. Maybe you should wriggle under that blanket and hide....just a suggestion. 'Cause there's some spooky stuff happening around your house.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

Congrats on NOT getting the cone of shame.

  44. Okay - I'm not sure what happened with your leg/paw ...but sure hope it's better soon. If you are a paw-licker have your peeps check your feet and between the pads for yeast/bacteria infection - if your cute paws smell sweet then you've got an infection going on.

Send me an e-mail if you need more help - or go onto Facebook and look for my group page called WESTIES HEALTH -- FROM EARS TO TAIL - westies are prone to getting infections of the feet and there are many things that can be done.

    All the best,
    Katie

  50. Your pictures were scarier than ever today, the nose picture was the scariest, thought the clippers were a close second! Hope your paw feels better soon, is it an allergic reaction to something you ate? Maggie has itchy reactions to a lot of different foods & treats. Thanks again for spookifying us!

So sorry to hear about the loss of Angel, we left a message on the 24 Paws of Love blog.

  57. Oh, Molly! You've been through a lot! So sorry to hear the sicky icky returned! We hope the upside is some nice homemade food (that always makes Wrigs feel better). We're glad you were able to avoid the evil cone, and hope your lick marathon-induced ouchie will heal quickly. Wrigs hates nail trims too, though he hasn't gotten revenge by lopping my feet off yet. (I doubt that he'd even considered that UNTIL NOW!)

It was very sad news about Angel.
