Episode 2 Series 10, Lady Dribble, Never Needs To Quibble
Or Be Without Kibble!
Countess to her mother wrote a note
about the daughter on whom they'd both dote. For she was like her mother very
cute and grandma being astute gave her lots of loot when she was grown. She
wanted to make sure that life was sunny and sweet as honey with some of her
vast wealth and money. Thus Lady Dribble would never have to quibble or be
without kibble.
Soon
time had sped and Lady Dribble being well bred, a good catch she was expected
to wed.
But
Lady D with Barkson the family had misled and down that path again they did not
want to retread.
So she
was to be introduced to society in the proper way with functions and parties
each and every day. She had no say as
this was the way the rich folk of Dogton made sure her eye did not wrongly
stray.
But Lady Dribble had other plans and she did not like the family to meddle for in reality she had no plans to settle. Despite plenty of swag the family did nag and life was fast becoming a drag. But she was not weak and certainly not meek and her objections she did loudly speak.
Yet
another gown and glittering crown she wore with a frown and planned to wear the
familys' resolve down. With a face as miserable as sin she hoped she would win
and thus thwart her kith and her kin.
A
rumour she spread that she had an empty head and wasn't well bred or even well
read. To the families of old well the story became widespread and so they were
all misled. To each ball she would go with a yawn feeling like a pawn and her
reception was thus somewhat lukewarm.
Thus
Summer came and went and she was hell bent at not giving her consent to any old
gent. It worked like a treat and no suitable pup did she meet much to the
defeat of her family. So she had won and a wedding there would be none and life
at the big house would resume being fun. The big house was now fun and no one
was glum and to music they'd hum and
danced and spun with hearts so young.
And
so concludes series 2 of Dogton Abbey. So a partner she did not seek for she had
a rebellious streak? For sometime ahead she may indeed wed but to whom and
when remains unsaid? Till then life remains sunny and as sweet as honey when
you have plenty of money. Life is sure a bitch when you are rich and you live in Dogton Abbey.
I feel sorry for the poor Lady. Think I should send her some squirrels.... or mice-cream... Thanks for another great episode, Molly!
