Dog House Blog, Snack It Stack It!

Molly The Wally Goes To China!

Some time ago Pizza Hut announced it was removing salad bars from its' restaurants in China supposedly as part of a menu overhaul. Unlike British and U.S. Pizza Hut branches, customers in China were told they could only have one trip to fill a single plate at the salad bar. But many believe the real reason behind the change in policy was because crafty Chinese customers were getting around the one trip rule by creating the incredible 'The Tower Of Salad'. We are so impressed! Power to the tower and high five to the five a day. Pity Pizza Hut China didn't appreciate the skill and craft of 'The Salad Bar Artists'.

How to build a stack!

Happy stacking all.

SHE had a $24.00 Tuna sandwich in a Japanese restaurant that came (proudly) with 'salad bar'. One bowl of lettuce, one of cucumber and one of tomato.

  3. I think people here would revolt if they were limited to one trip...I've seen the ones with plastic bags tucked in purses to they can bring home salad for a week...I commend the chinese for great creativity...These are amazing...I do wonder how long they took to create

  20. Wow, cool ideas. The Momster is a huge salad lover so maybe she will get some tips from these wild photos:) Actually she doesn't even remember the last time she was actually inside a Pizza Hut. But if she gets there, she can have the salad and we will enjoy the pizza.

  23. Those salads look really good, but they also look like they'd take awhile to build. I think I'd get too hungry in the middle and start eating before I ever finished! bol

Our Pizza Hut has a salad bar, but it's a very small one. I don't usually eat it because they don't offer much of a choice.

  31. Oh my gosh, Molly! Those are very creative! How can one person consume all that food (or successfully transport it from the salad bar to the table)? Wrigs would be more impressed if they were giant stacks of hamburgers or something.
