Dog House Blog, Flammable Friday!
Tourists
flock from all over the world to stay in the vast igloo in Swedens' far north,
where they sleep on an ice bed in temperatures as low as -8C (18F). Located in
the small Arctic town of Jukkasjarvi, the Ice Hotel is rebuilt every winter but
it melts by spring. The first guests stayed at the hotel in 1990, but
authorities have this year have made a rather strange demand. The world famous Hotel has been forced to
install a fire alarm in response to seeing their planning application refused
by some bright spark. Spokesperson Beatrice Karlsson says they were left
surprised when the National Housing Board came calling with their odd request, 'We
were a bit surprised, but you just have to accept the situation. Tests were
made to see if there are items which can catch fire. It would be sheep and
reindeer skins, pillows and mattresses, but the risk of it happening is not
that big.' So we're not the only ones with complete imbeciles running the country.
Have a fabulous Friday all.
That is a very unique hotel good to know :)

Apparently an intelligence test is not required before holding public office in any country. They already have a built in sprinkler system, the best one possible.
