Dog House Blog, Social Saturday!

A group of scientists in the department of Astrophysics at Michigan Technological University have tried to find out if time travellers use social media. If people from the future tried to visit the past they may have left clues on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter they declared. They chose two events to research, Pope Francis and Comet ISON. Looking to see references to these topics before they happened they found absolutely nothing.

Unfortunately, the research had some fundamental problems,

1. They should have tried to locate the DeLorean DMC-12.
2. Time travellers don’t have time for social media when they need to save the universe from yet another  apocalypse.
3. Okay, so you find them and then they'd have to kill you.
4. If they did decide to go on social media, wouldn’t it be to get 10 billion likes instead of talking about the Pope?

I think I'll stick to the tea leaves to see the future. Have a super social Saturday and keep an eye out for those time travellers.

  20. What an amazing idea, my mind is slightly overfull at the possibility of someone from the future nipping back and leaving evidence on Facebook - and I just deleted my facebook a/c so am I going to miss something phenominal? My mum used to read the tea leaves and I think they are extremely trustworthy, so in the absence of facebook Molly, I'm depending on you and the tea leaves to keep me informed of anything upcoming of importance. 27. I would love to time travel, if only to find out what my personal future holds. If it turns out bad, then I can maybe make different/better decisions so that it turns out better.

  29. This reminds me of the very sad movie titled The Time Traveller's Wife... He died in the end because he couldn't control his time warping skills.
