This National
Geographic advertisement is probably the scariest thing we have seen in a long
while. The graphic appears at the foot of an escalator in Brazil, advertising a
programme called Mundo Salvagem de Richard Rasmussen and featuring the tagline 'ready for an adventure through the Brazilian
forests?’ The optical illusion consists of a 3D drawing of a crocodile jumping
out of water at the bottom of the escalator creating a somewhat unnerving image
for those about to disembark. We think it is very clever but would sure put us off
going to the forests of Brazil in a heartbeat. Would you go down the escalator with that at the bottom?
Have a fabulous freaky Friday all.
We just like to say a big thank you to Austin for this award and we will pop it onto our awards page with pride.

If that had been a cockroach instead of the crocodile, we're pretty sure Mommy would have turned around and run back up and taken the stairs.
ReplyDeleteOf course, dear Molly, I'd jump on the crocodile and bite his ear off! What? Mom says the have no ears to bite on? That's very bad! As you know I have some practice at the time! So I must now think a new strategy, but I definitely would!

That's a very adorable look in your eyes, Molly. And congratulations on the new award.
ReplyDeleteHmmm that's an interesting escalator for sure, Id like to give it a try. And congrats on a well deserved award

YIKES! Oh Miz Molly, you are precious with your little snapdragon! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteThat is very clever, but I don't think I'd be keen to use the escalator! It doesn't encourage me to visit where it lives either!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on that wonderful award and it is surely an accurate description of your blog.
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
Not sure I would step on that! lol

ReplyDeletethat is super cool - like those amazing chalk drawings you see - we would dive right in and wrestle that there crocodile - or end up as tooth picks :)
ReplyDeleteOMD Molly you have a DRAGON stuffie... Do you play Draggin the Dragon with him?
ReplyDeleteOH NO.... we would NEVER go down that escalator if we saw THAT at the bottom. Just sayin.
I'll NEVER got down those walking stairs again! NEVER!
ReplyDeleteoh, that is cool, but no, that would give me pause!
ReplyDeleteThat would be darn scary seeing that down at the bottom!
ReplyDeleteWe were relieved not to see a real live alligator walking up the steps of the escalator. Mom dislikes the Mall enough as it is. Seeing something like that climbing up the stairs would have unnerved her forever. When she was a kid, her uncle told her there were alligators living at the bottom of the swimming pool. After that, she could never learn to dive because she was too afraid. Have a great weekend. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteCongratulation to your award. I would like such a 3 d drawing at the bottom of my stairs! And to have walking stairs would be cool too. Your pink dragon is very cute, Molly, have a super friday together.
ReplyDeleteHa roo! My mom sure wouldn't go down there! She'd be scrambling to run back UP the escalator!
ReplyDeletePlay bows,

Holly Bully Sticks! That is scary! We would have trouble heading towards it and would probably try to jump over it rather than step on it!
ReplyDeleteWe would have to jump over it!

I would enjoy the ad but it wouldn't stop us because I've held an alligator in Florida. I love drawings/art work like that because they look so real.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

My hubs makes fun of me cuz I am a bit afraid of down escalators, but there's one where I'd have a good reason to be a scaredy cat! (It's actually pretty cool! Thanks for sharing.)
ReplyDeleteThat would surely be one escalator that we would challenge ourselves to run up even though it was going down!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
