Rattle, hum, hiss and hick,
Our poor car is really sick.
'Wonder Boy' put the wrong fuel in it,
And now the engine’s doing a hissy fit.
Crackle, whiz, cough said our car,
It certainly isn’t going far.
Stuck in the shop’s parking lot,
Whilst it’s innards start to rot.
Curse, damn, crap, we shout,
The guy comes to pump it out.
He finished and asked for lots of money,
My peoples certainly didn’t find it funny.
Crunch, gobble, chew and nibble,
Bored and lonely started to giggle.
Home alone I had it made,
No one’s looking, time for a bin raid.
oh oh....that doesn't sound good and yes...we all do dumb things - all the time :)
ReplyDeleteOh no....Miz Molly, did you destroy the house while she who is to be ignored had to deal with the car? Miz Molly....you IZ bad! I hope she can drive her car now? And that the wallet is not too slim?
ReplyDeleteMOL MOL MOL Molly I have come to accept my mom is less than purrfect. There is not enough room on your comment box for me to list her mistakes. Occasionally she forgets to fill my kibble bowl in the morning but I solve that with my 1st soprano solo Meow O Mia

At least you were busy while your peeps were away. I hope your car feels better soon. Send you a hug to make that bad day a little better.
ReplyDeleteOh ouch. Sounds like something my daddy would do. What have they done that's a mistake? Eat in front of this oinker and not share! Snorts. XOXO - Bacon

Ohhhhh, that's No Good. Cars are very picky about their fuel.
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteYep, my Humans didn't know about it though. When they moved from a different state they thought that the marinas had fuel without ethenol like the marinas where they used to live. Unfortunately the fuel had ethenol and boats don't like it. That was an expensive repair to the engine. So many people were havin' problems with their boats breakin' down that the marinas and the local gas stations now have ethenol free fuel.
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Sorry about the car, that's awful! We all make mistakes...part of being the silly humans we are!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, oocha wallet indeed! Great poem, and I loved the ending!

ReplyDeleteCars are so much more work than dogs.
ReplyDeleteYou will NOT believe this (then again, you might) I haven't driven my car for at least 2 months (my husband is retired and we mostly use his).....last I checked was a couple of weeks ago and it wouldn't start, haven't checked it since....have to get it jumped (and it is only a 2013)......now, THAT'S STUPID!

Oh no! The only kind of wrong gas I ever put in the car was the premium instead of regular thankfully!
ReplyDeleteYikes! Of course I have done dumb things. Some costly too...
ReplyDeleteSorry about your car Our peeps do something stupid everyday
ReplyDeleteThat is a very expensive mistake. We hope you had fun with your bin raid.
ReplyDeleteWell, to tell the truth, our Grandad (Dad's father) did exactly that one time. It was actually a very sad and scary day for our family. Grandad was in the early stages of Alzheimer's, and none of the family realized it. He was supposed to come to our house for Christmas dinner and made a wrong turn on the highway, going north instead of south - he ended up in Canada, filled the car with diesel fuel, and the gas attendant realized something wasn't right with this customer. He called the Royal Canadian police and they took him to the station. Long story short, Dad and our human brother spent all day Christmas driving through a blizzard from Connecticut to Canada to get Grandad and the car. Needless to say, that was the day Grandad had to give up his car keys:( Thankfully it ended well.
ReplyDeleteHope your car will be OK now and we bet Wonder Boy won't ever do that again.
Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
HAH! When haven’t my peeps done stupid things. The smartest thing they did is let me hitch a ride home with them.

ReplyDeleteOh no, that is not good. If our peeps have ever done such a thing they have kept it very quiet. They we we are can't keep a secret. Well at least you got some time to raid the bin.

ReplyDeleteOMC, has she ever! A couple months ago she had to spend $1700 green papers getting her clutch and other stuffs fixed. She says it wasn't her fault, but really? I mean, *I* don't drive that car!
