With the Blogville Mayoral elections hotting up we pop over to Cormorant Minnesota where Duke the 7 year old.Great Pyrenees has become mayor.
Yep Cormorant sure has gone to the dogs as Duke won by a landslide beating shop owner Mr Sherbrook by more than twice as many votes. He will be sworn in tomorrow. What's his salary you ask? A year's worth of kibble from the local food store. His first major task will be to tackle road safety. LOL Blogville maybe we should twin up towns with Cormorant.
Have a fabulous fun Friday all.
That is awesome! How DO you find these Molly??
ReplyDeleteCrikey Molly ..... we heard about this on the wireless here in downtown Australia this morning. How good is that?? 'Well done Duke' I say!!! Way to go, mate.
ReplyDeleteYAY FOR MINNESOTA, WHERE I LIVE, MIZ MOLLY! I am in The Twin Cities, but Cormorant is obviously out, far out from me...did you hear the accent? I true Minnesota accent! teeehehehe.....we should think more about alternative politicians, shouldn't we! HAPPY FRIDAY, you wonderful dog/person, YOU!
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in California we were near a town called Sunol and they had a black lab as their Mayor :)

ReplyDeleteHey Molly!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm totally thrilled that he won! He'll be much more reliable and honest than most politicians. Gotta love his stance on road safety too! BOL
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, Police Commish
He has more dignity than 99% of the human politicians - and not telling lies either. Dogs can be bribed though so keep an eye out LOL…

Finally, a worthy candidate gets elected!

The state of Minnesota elected Jesse "The Body" Ventura, a professional wrestler, as governor and Jesse served 1999-2003. Just as with Jesse, Duke is more intelligent than his political opposition.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm talkin about
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
Maybe we should! Just so you know Molly, our campaign team will be planning on making a trip to the UK and Down Under to meet the Blogville citizens living there. We want to hear your concerns!

ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend ... Katie
ReplyDeleteConcatulations to Duke, we know he will be the best mayor that town has ever had. We know a cat in Alaska who is the mayor of his town.
ReplyDeleteKitty Kisses,
Cindi Lou & The Kitty Krew
I like our local mayor. But I suspect that if we had a canine mayor, they'd make the outdoor pedestrian mall and lakeshore park pet-friendly.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Duke.
That's great! Do you think I had a chance to become the mayor of my village too? I would like to see a council session of Cormorant... and the dog is noble now too... the Duke of Cormorant. have a super friday Molly!
ReplyDeleteA Huge Congrats to Duke, just goes to show how we here in the land of do nothing, money grabbing politicians feel about replacing them!
ReplyDeleteThe MAD MAD MAD Scots

Mr Bailey, Hazel & Greta
I have to say I saw this on Facebook and I am very proud to be a Minnesota dog. Sadly, I don't live in that town, but maybe I can run for Mayor of my town and be successful?
ReplyDeleteWe bet he does a better job than most humans could!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
He couldn't be worse than our Federal Government. Dogs have to be better than clowns.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great mayor! I ran for president in 2012, but I didn't win. But the Squeaky Party is still active! We still believe the key to world peace is for everyone to have a squeaky toy. How can you stay mad if you have a wonderful squeaky toy? Maybe I should run in 2016 …
ReplyDeleteWe like that, even though it is a woofie! XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteHi hi hi! Ojo here! I would like to be mayor! I think. Does it mean you get lots of bacon?
ReplyDeleteI saw that!! And that says ALOT about what that town thinks of the opponent.
ReplyDeleteWay ta GO dood! The winnah!! Uhm, Faraday wants to run now, locally. He prefers his salary to be paid in Bonito Flakes.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful choice! Congratulations to Duke!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
