Mallard Malarkey On Moanday Monday!

Out on the park for a lark...........

Heading off to the scene of 'Pantsgate'...........

Drats the pants have gone but I'll get a good roll in anyway........

No I am not listening to She Who Must Be Obeyed Ignored........

I'll just turn my back to her and partake of some selective hearing.......

A bit of crow chasing.......

Then it happened...........not those but the mallards........

Down by the football pitch I heard the quacks and before she could grab me I was off. Yep three mallards were taking their morning constitutional and hearing them I sprang into action. I chased whilst she screamed at me like a banshee on helium. I gave chase, she gave chase all arms like a windmill and shouting NOOOOOOO. Yes I know Scotland voted NO so need to go on about it I thought. Anyway the mallards flew off back to the pond and she eventually caught me and dragged me home in the worst of moods. Ho hum my attempt at having duck a la orange for supper was thwarted. Nevermind tomorrow is another day. Have you chased anything good recently?

Have a marvellous Monday and don't forget to include some mischief today.

  1. Hi Molly,
I chase birds all the time, but they will cheat and go airborne. So unfair!

  2. Hello dearst Molly,
here I am, back again! Thank you that you have not forgotten me in the meanwhile, that means during the time I was chasing after fat seagulls on the beach or pregnant cows on the top of the mountains! To chase is a very healthy and funny occupation!
I hope, you've got your duck at supper!
    Love

  7. It is a natural instinct isn't is for spaniels to chase ducks - heck for all dogs to chase ducks - we do it frequently ourselves :)

  9. Boy Molly did you get a good amount of exercise. Hope you have a restful rest of the week and be mindful of your Mommy calling.

  10. Ha ha ha!! Our boy Bill would be right there with ya on the chase of birds. It is one of his favourite things to do, especially if they are far away so he can run further! Blind Hiker follows in case one is caught and needs to be "dispatched". Never happens though.

SHE removed it from my mouth and now she tries to remove the pigeons shit under her nails...Have a great monday and tomorrow you will get all three!

  15. Oh we just love your stories about your momma, we just love them, our momma also gets that high pitched piggy squeal to her voice when we runs, then she remembers we are encased in a farmers fence and hers calms down.....dah......

  18. Molly, I think your mom hires those Mallards so that you get the needed exercise to keep your body in the very best shape. I think all her yelling and screaming is just an act. I loved your photos-such a pretty park. What would you do if Mom stopped chasing you and hollering at you? Would you just decide to stay closer to her? Hunter doesn't get off leash because if he saw a bunny, he would certainly give it chase.
    Have a marvelous Monday Molly.

  26. From Angel Foley: There used to be lots of Canadian Geese (I guess they belong to you) where I waked. I would go barking at them and they would fly away. One day there was only one Goose and a little baby Goose and I ran at them barking like I always did. She didn't fly away. She got mad. I ran the other way. Be careful of the teeny ones

  29. I did that once when I was about 9 months old and that was the last time I was allowed off leash unless it was a fenced area. I was on the loose for about an hour. You are lucky you keep getting more chances!

  47. I was very unpopular a while ago when I gave chase to a hare! I chased it round and round a field for about 15 minutes before I lost sight of it. I was exhausted and my biped was very cross!

  48. Oh man! Not the ducks! If you're going to chase birds, chase the geese. They poop bigger ...
