Out on the park for a lark...........
Heading off to the scene of 'Pantsgate'...........
Drats the pants have gone but I'll get a good roll in anyway........
No I am not listening to She Who Must Be
I'll just turn my back to her and partake of some selective hearing.......
A bit of crow chasing.......
Then it happened...........not those but the mallards........
Down by the football pitch I heard the quacks and before she could grab me I was off. Yep three mallards were taking their morning constitutional and hearing them I sprang into action. I chased whilst she screamed at me like a banshee on helium. I gave chase, she gave chase all arms like a windmill and shouting NOOOOOOO. Yes I know Scotland voted NO so need to go on about it I thought. Anyway the mallards flew off back to the pond and she eventually caught me and dragged me home in the worst of moods. Ho hum my attempt at having duck a la orange for supper was thwarted. Nevermind tomorrow is another day. Have you chased anything good recently?
Have a marvellous Monday and don't forget to include some mischief today.
Hi Molly,
ReplyDeleteI chase birds all the time, but they will cheat and go airborne. So unfair!
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Hello dearst Molly,
ReplyDeletehere I am, back again! Thank you that you have not forgotten me in the meanwhile, that means during the time I was chasing after fat seagulls on the beach or pregnant cows on the top of the mountains! To chase is a very healthy and funny occupation!
I hope, you've got your duck at supper!
Love
Arno
Those cheeky birds

teeeheee....."like a Banshee on helium..." teeeheeeee (I can see it Miz Molly, I can hear it!)
ReplyDeleteOh, you give SHE who must be ignored a run for her money! Yes, let's go out there and make some MORE mischief! HUGS!
I think you are a closet cat, Molly!! Chasing birds is what I do and probably a bit more successfully than you do MOL. The old screaming like a banshee on helium thing The Staff has got with knobs on!! My ears!!! ;) xox
ReplyDeletemol mol MOLLY YOU NEED A VIDEO CAMERA ATTACHED TO YOUR DARLING TAIL...WE'D LOVED TO HAVE SEEN HER WHO SHALL BE OBEYED CHASING YOU.
ReplyDeleteHUGS MADI YOUR BFFF
IT MIGHT BE WORTH A CHASE TO HEAR MY MOM SQUEAL LIKE A BANSHEE ON HELIUM!!
ReplyDeleteHUGS MADI
It is a natural instinct isn't is for spaniels to chase ducks - heck for all dogs to chase ducks - we do it frequently ourselves :)
ReplyDeleteRolling sure looks like lots of fun Molly! Have a ducky week!!!
ReplyDeleteBoy Molly did you get a good amount of exercise. Hope you have a restful rest of the week and be mindful of your Mommy calling.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha!! Our boy Bill would be right there with ya on the chase of birds. It is one of his favourite things to do, especially if they are far away so he can run further! Blind Hiker follows in case one is caught and needs to be "dispatched". Never happens though.
ReplyDeletethanks for the morning laugh, although i am sure she who screams like a banshee on helium was not all that happy and laughing .... hope the grand roll was for fun and not on something stinky...glad the ducks got away and that you had fun
ReplyDeleteWow, those furst piccies! Whut a great place to sniff an pick up junk in yur fur!
ReplyDeleteBut chasin ducks! Super duper adventure, heh?
Pity you didn't munch some mallard!
ReplyDeleteat least now all people know the results of the voting in schottland, that's not bad... how unfair that this mallards can fly, huh? I got a part of a pigeons nest... full of pigeon poop. SHE removed it from my mouth and now she tries to remove the pigeons shit under her nails...Have a great monday and tomorrow you will get all three!
ReplyDeletetoo cute. NOOOOO! :)
ReplyDeleteOh we just love your stories about your momma, we just love them, our momma also gets that high pitched piggy squeal to her voice when we runs, then she remembers we are encased in a farmers fence and hers calms down.....dah......
ReplyDeletestella rose
Nice escape plan sweet Molly! That's one way to 'walk' the human - snorts. XOXO - Bacon
ReplyDeleteYou've got a bit of that spaniel hunting instinct. Good job!
ReplyDeleteMolly, I think your mom hires those Mallards so that you get the needed exercise to keep your body in the very best shape. I think all her yelling and screaming is just an act. I loved your photos-such a pretty park. What would you do if Mom stopped chasing you and hollering at you? Would you just decide to stay closer to her? Hunter doesn't get off leash because if he saw a bunny, he would certainly give it chase.
ReplyDeleteHave a marvelous Monday Molly.
Noreen & Hunter
Mommas are drama queens. Don't roll in that stuff, you will get water tortured
ReplyDeleteSnorts,
Lily & Edward
Those darn humans always ruin everything!
ReplyDeleteI chase nothing anymore-I'm too old.
ReplyDeleteOMD OMD BANSHEE on HELIUM..... Molly you DO know how to turn a phrase. Loved your rolling and then the RACING fur the DUCKS... Darn Shame that you didn't Score one... THAT would have made fur a GOURMET Dinner fur SURE girrrrrl. Next time .... try the STEALTH approach...
ReplyDeleteWow what a day you had. Rolling around and chasing animals sounds like perfect fun for a dog. Thank you so much for your heartfelt words, very comforting to me. xo
ReplyDeleteOh Molly we are rolling on the floor laughing....especially because your Mama was, "screaming like a banshee on helium!!!"...BOLBOLBOLBOL....
ReplyDeleteSmileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
The way I see it, you were helping her get her cardio in.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
From Angel Foley: There used to be lots of Canadian Geese (I guess they belong to you) where I waked. I would go barking at them and they would fly away. One day there was only one Goose and a little baby Goose and I ran at them barking like I always did. She didn't fly away. She got mad. I ran the other way. Be careful of the teeny ones
ReplyDeleteDrats! We bet duck would have really tasted yummy too. Next time....
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like an excellent job to us! We have just been chasing birds in the yard and a couple duckies on our running route.
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I did that once when I was about 9 months old and that was the last time I was allowed off leash unless it was a fenced area. I was on the loose for about an hour. You are lucky you keep getting more chances!
ReplyDeleteA banshee on helium cracked us up so much. Looks like an absolutely gorgeous day, and it sounds like you had oodles of fun. Good for you in giving your mom a run for her money. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute Molly! Good way to keep your human in shape too ;)
ReplyDeleteThe Snow Geese are here from Canada right now.
ReplyDeleteMom only lets me look at them.
xo Cinnamon
We love a good duck chase, but we're usually on the walking strings and can't do it!
ReplyDeleteRoxy had TWO real baths last week because she found a good rolling spot!
Selective hearing? Yup! My huskies have mastered that!
ReplyDeleteღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
I get selective hearing around the birdy things. They fly away, but I still tries to catch them :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! Rita wanted to try seagull a la orange while we were on vacation!
ReplyDeleteYou can come and chase our mallards any time you want to, Molly. Just don't tell our dad that we gave you permission, okay. mum's the word!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
Duck a la orange for supper ~ what is up with the BIRDS this week?? I feel like we are in a Alfred Hitchcock movie. I will trade one Bald Eagle for one Mallard.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
OH, would that ever have been a pawesome dinner!!! We have been trying to chase some bunnies on our walks, but SHE always has a strong hold on our leashes:(
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
Oh darn you missed them!
ReplyDeleteSos, you never got em, thats ashame. better luck tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
Well that sounds like a grand day the girls here say! Rolling in stinkies, chasing ducks! Wonderful! Mazie said to let you know she chased some nasty squirrels out at Grammy's today with Cousin Jessie! They almost caught one too!
ReplyDeleteMarty
Darn Molly,
ReplyDeleteSo near and yet so far hey buddy?! Good attempt!
I try to catch the squirrels EVERY day, so far no luck, will keep you posted!
I hope you're having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy :)
Nothing like a good roll!
ReplyDeleteThose ducks look pretty tasty!
ReplyDeleteDRAT!! So close!! We'd have liked a bit of duck for dinner.
ReplyDeleteWally & Sammy
OH Molly in the mountains I pulled my Dad like a little red wagon for a quarter mile because I saw and smelled three turkeys! Now if you like ducks you need to chase turkeys. I'd have gotten them too but sadly was leashed. Your pal, Toby
ReplyDeleteOh Molly! Delilah took off on me yesterday, Lord knows what she was chasing. LOL Glad you were caught by HER and not the Bobbies. That would have sucked.
ReplyDeleteBwa! Haa!! Haaa!!! Yous is the bestest!
ReplyDeleteOut Mallards has alll flied south for the winter. That snow wes had last week hurried their departure!
Kisses
Nellie
I was very unpopular a while ago when I gave chase to a hare! I chased it round and round a field for about 15 minutes before I lost sight of it. I was exhausted and my biped was very cross!
ReplyDeleteOh man! Not the ducks! If you're going to chase birds, chase the geese. They poop bigger ...
ReplyDeletewww.dogtreatweb.com
We chase squirrels, but around here the ducks chase humans and dogs! We avoid them because they are scary! BOL!
ReplyDeleteO my... You sound like ME in my dreams being ME, rather than ME being the boy who no one trusts to knot chase birds, run off, etc. I do love me a Sweet Roll, however. <3
