Massive Moan On Moanday Monday!

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and got plenty of treats unlike me who only got this stupid bandanna which by the way was free from the fur stealers to add insult to injury. Now don't know if you have noticed that there are way too many spiders around this year and they are HUGE. Well last week she who must be obeyed ingored saw this massive one crawling down the bedroom wall heading towards some cushions. She knew despite her dislike of these eight legged critters if she didn't get it there and then who knows where it would end up? Valiantly she caught it in an empty cotton wool jar. OK fast forward and she rings 'Wonder Boy' to come and get rid of it. Catching it was quite enough heroics for one day. 'WB' comes over and proceeds to shake the jar and open it to see exactly how big it was. Spider jumps out......peeps screams.....I bark and chaos rules in our house once more. Many HBO words later me and peeps are in the sitting room hiding till 'Wonder Boy' (now renamed 'Stupid Idiot') finds 'Many Big Feet' and gets rid of it. OMD the cussing went on for hours with 'Stupid Idiot' muttering all the time .... how was I know it was going to jump out? So peeps says anyone in need of a 'Stupid Idiot' or have a village missing one we have one going spare.

Have a marvellous Monday all and don't forget to include some mischief today.

  8. me to on being the fly on the wall... lots of screaming going on here if that happened. the thing is i would not put it in a jar, but it would be smashed with the fly swat where ever it was found. we have a swatter in kitchen and bedroom... small spiders are swatted by ME larger ones by hubby.. i am afraid they will jump on me. don't need another idiot here, we already have one. your guess if it is me or hubby...

  11. Aieeeeee! Spiders are one of the things that our human is petrified of. How could anyone open the jar??? Ugh, ugh, ugh. Our human might even have vacated the house until the thing was caught. LOL.

P.S. "Moan"day is a good way to put it, at least for the bipeds!

  15. Wow! I love catching spiders! I wish I could come over and help you with that. In the meantime, catch them by putting a clear glass or jar over them and then sliding a piece of heavy paper underneath. Transport them to the door and let them go outside! This works well with bees and wasps too.

  20. Ambercat laughed- she eats spiders - you just show her and she pounces - do you think you might do that for your peeps Mollie? failing that we had 'the funnel web spider' in our garage for about 10 years, she got bigger and bigger and was quite aggressive, rushing out of her long tube web when I cam in the garage, I had a few attempts over the years at flattening her but she always got back down the crack in the floor under her funnel before I got there - but guess what Mollie - WD40 did it for me!!! I sprayed her and her web and the crack in the floor and never saw her again! Hope your peeps don't mind spraying the walls with WD40 - if not - problem solved!

  21. Hehe that was quite funny to read. You should see all the spiders hiding out around here!

  22. Bwahaahaa! We like spiders in this house. Anything that eats flies and mosquitoes is our friend. We just have to watch out for the poison ones and at least they're not aggressive. Wish you had a video. Maybe you should invest in a Nanny cam and just keep it turned on at your house, so we can all enjoy the fun!

  24. Hey Molly!
Wow, you look gorgeous in your new dana! OMD my peeps would probably both faint if a large spider was loose in my house. BOL Even my brave Dad is scared of them. I just watch them crawl by and wonder what the excitement is all about. BTW I totally agree with Bella that a video of that would be fabulous entertainment. BOL

  29. Oh Yes!! They are huge this year!! The stupid idiot in this house is apparently me who when told to "kill, kill" went and "tap tap" so that the spider ran into the corner and hid. apparently I was supposed to kill it!!!! I wanted to play with it!!

  30. Love the head tilt picture. Looking pawsome in the bandana. As fur the spider, we hope to never see one that big ever. Mommy has two bug nets on a long stick. Those two bug nets have helped our Mommy get rid of stink bugs, wasps, flies. She traps it in one net, slides the other net to capture it between the nets. Then she throws both nets out the front door. She checks in a few hours to make sure the bug left the nets before she brings the nets back in. However we like your method better and it sounds more entertaining to watch. Hope spider man wove his own web and caught the jumping spider.

  40. BBBBOL!!! OMD! We thought we were the only one's with a spider problem. We had TWO rain spiders and one wolf spider in the house all in one week. Mom was freaking out, dad is looking at getting his modified margarine tub / spider catcher patented and I (Sammy) was really, really annoyed that they kept insisting on catching and removing my new friends.

  43. BOL! I hate when I have to get rid of bugs... if my boyfriend isn't around, then I have to... we usually have the giant spiders more in the summer. I like summer, but there are way too many bugs here during that season.

  44. LOL. I've read two posts now, and still I can't help but laugh because the stealers don't like to share their candy.
