Canines of
all shapes and sizes took part in the fifth annual Surf City Surf Dog
competition at Huntington Beach, California. The organised event divided the
participants into four weight class divisions, from under 9kg to larger dogs weighing more than
27kg. The dogs were judged on how long they could stay on the board, as well as
their confidence while riding the waves. Whilst most dogs donned life jackets
to hit the waves, others surged in style wearing elaborate costumes. Huntington
Beach is known for its unique surf break, and is a favourite spot for surfers
taking part in the US Open of surfing, the largest competition in the world. So
today on surfing Saturday we bring you Surf Dog Ricochet Loews Coronado Bay
Resort Contest with Kona & Antonio. Enjoy!
