Are
you so clever you can fool your peoples into thinking you are dumb to get your
own way? Do you ever run round in circles, or bark at random things to annoy
your staff? Can you drive a bus? The Dognition site, based in North Carolina, uses questionnaires
and games to help servants owners determine how clever you are at
solving problems, or choosing to ignore you or genuinely finding things are
lost in translation. Dogs are assigned personality types with character traits
and these can be compared to other dogs of the same breed, age and size, as
well as with other breeds. It can be used by our simple owners to learn
more about how we think. Pet owners begin by filling out a personality
questionnaire about their dog, including whether it is well-behaved, whether it
listens to instructions, how it responds to being left alone or told off etc.
Based on the results of this test, the owners are given a series of science based
games, designed to test a dog's level of empathy, communication and cunning (never).
They can also test whether we are
trustworthy and loyal, or wily and devious (scandalous).
Various tests can be viewed on the Dognition
site here or on Youtube.
Handle with care as we don’t want to be giving all our secrets away. Would be
fun to try with our feline and other anipals too. So make it a Treaty Tuesday
and have fun with mum.

ReplyDeleteShiner has one of those Dognition toys. I think she might be in the scandalous section. Last night I told her to get off the couch like 10 times and she just laid there and stared at me like I was crazy lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you can drive a bus, so I haven't to learn it ( I hope I can be your passenger?). I always pretend to be dumb to get my own way. That's the reason why me and mom are such a good team, because she does that vice versa LOL I'm waiting at the bus stop for you...
ReplyDeleteI think my dogs would get the treat every time. I'll have to try it!

ReplyDeleteWe don't want our mom to know how smart WE are... she would want us to get Jobs and stuffs.
They say you can measure a dog's intelligence by how quickly it can get out of a blanket if you throw one over it's head. It took Dip about three quarters of an hour, BOL!
ReplyDeleteDip Bridge and Elliot x
Mom likes playing those nutty mental games with us
ReplyDeleteSnorts
Benny & Lily
Are chasing birds or herding children any of those intelligence tests? We always score high at those games!
ReplyDeleteI need to try this with Sookie!
ReplyDeleteThat was super interesting learning about the way their brain works! :)
ReplyDeleteWe looked at dognition but thought it was expensive for the formal test when we know we are geniuses! Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun, of course, we already know we are all geniuses!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool Molly...from that chart I can tell already that I'm a Charmer...and we saw the painting of you and Pip that Reilly & Denny's mom did and it's super...she did such a great job of capturing you two

ReplyDeleteWhat about humagnition?
I already know that Beamer is a genius. No tests needed! :)
ReplyDeleteWe thinks it would not be good for there to be such a test for cats. If there was the hoomans might learn of our plan for world domination.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Cindi Lou & The Kitty Krew
Now that's what I need- a dog that can drive! cos my driving is limited - I only go in a 7 mile radius.

ReplyDeleteI wanna do the treat thing... Then again, I don't think they'll understand why in the world the human is pointing on something when they can choose to ignore me.
I love games like that!!! I also have lots of mental stimulation puzzles for Joker. I find them to be a great way to tire a dog (especially on days where the weather isn't that great out)! :)
