John Lewis a British department store is gearing up for Christmas with a
huge advertising campaign.
The video had its' debut last week.
Many liked the advert and John Lewis was contacted by many members of
the public to say they loved the £7million seasonal commercial. Unfortunately
for Mr. John Lewis of Blacksburg, Virginia many made the mistake of tweeting
him instead. He now has 4,500 followers on Twitter after the advertisement
premiered in the UK on Saturday night. The US academic uses the Twitter identity John Lewis@John Lewis for
which he bought the rights before the store chain. He bore the brunt of the thousands of messages
from customers. But instead of losing his rag he has been unfailingly polite to the
thousands who have mistakenly contacted him. This has earned him the accolade
as being the most patient and polite man on the internet. Store bosses last night promised to send a
gift to thank the professor for redirecting people to the correct Twitter page which
is @johnlewisretail.
And as for that advert....well if you like cute furry friends and want a
smile today, here it is.
Have a terrific Tuesday all.

It is a nice advert but I liked last years with the snowmen much more - this year's Marks and spencers is fabulous - a bit of alice in wonderland, a bit of wizard of oz - I love it the best - and there's a cut little dog on there too Molly.

ReplyDeleteThat's the best rendition of the song I have ever seen. John Lewis, be it the professor or the retail store has now embedded itself in area of my brain where Christmas is kept.
