Monday Mischief, Recycle As The Possibilities Are Endless!

Recycle As The Possibilities Are Endless!

Our bin day is Friday and Thursday is treasure trove day for the foxes as at night they raid the recycle bags like this one.

Well the bags were still out Friday morning when I took she who must be obeyed ignored out for a walk on 'the human safety first leash'.

She stopped to have a gossip with a someone she knows and I decided to check out the bag. Well you never know the foxes might have missed something.

So natter, natter, natter you mouth is getting fatter..........meanwhile I struck the mother lode.

I had just got that succulent juicy bone in my mouth when she who must be obeyed ignored shouted one of my other names, DROP IT MOLLY.

DRATS indeed!

I jumped 87 million feet into the air and dropped the bone........

What a waste and worse she dragged me away and............

left the bone for someotherdoggy.

Have a marvellous Monday all and mine is well boneless. I did go in search of it the next day but it was not there. BIG SIGH. The trials and tribulations of owning a human. alas, they spoil our fun.

  7. EXCELLENT reenactment of the event. We see that She who must be OBSERVED has Learned not to wear the Pink Pumps when walking around. What a shame she would not allow you to retain your treasure.

  9. Dang Molly! I've had a few "treasured finds" like that in my life, but I've experienced that same kind of "Mommy voice" that will make you tuck and roll in a heartbeat! (One time I DID get to enjoy a find...but it made me SICK! Ugh!) I know you feel cheated but it might have made you very sick too.
    Have a wonderful week!!

  10. How odd... "Drop It" is also a nick-name our humans use for the canines! And we agree with Reilly & Denny, who recycles a bone? Except for you, of course, Molly. You were going to recycle it into a snack! Good dog.

  11. I think she was just trying to protect you-maybe it was a big turkey bone or something that might hurt you. Moms are like that you know. Hope she gets you another one from the grocery store.

  15. They sure do. Can't believe that bone was thrown out. Looks like it had plenty of chew still left in it. SHE always takes stuff away from us, too. Humans!!

  19. Bummer! The same thing happened to me this weekend, I fought hard to keep the bone, but those human opposable thumbs beat my jaws of death every time!

  24. Sigh. I had SUCH a similar experience this morning involving part of a bird! It's just terribly unfair!

PS: Thank you for your succinct explanation of PMQs. Dad (the historian in the family) explained it to Mom, but it helped her to read your comment! She wasn't aware it was done on Wednesdays ... I'll have to change that! Dad teaches college courses in history, politics, international relations, etc. We just thought we'd have a little fun playing off of my name!

  25. We only recycle plastic, glass and newspapers. Nothing fun to eat in any of those. That stinks that you didn't get to keep that pawsome bone. Poor Molly. Better luck next time. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

    ReplyDelete
  33. That really wasn't fair, you had to leave that bone behind! Better luck next time. Head this way for a visit and you'll find lots of special treasures here, mostly at the window (see tomorrow's post!).

  34. I am at a loss for words....I'm I'm...what the hell was your mom thinking not letting you have the bone. I hope your tomorrow is the bestest day ever.

  36. Hey Molly

The humans sure can use some sneaky tactics for spoiling our fun buddy, don't let it put you off, it was great mischief, keep up the good work!

    I hope you're having a fun day,

    Your pal Snoopy :)

  37. You and your Mommy are so funny, Molly! We think you should have your own slot on Saturday Night Live, like Mr. Bill did back in the day! We love your re-enactments.

It was really WRONG of her to make you give up your bone, though.

    ReplyDelete
  38. We don'ts go into the outside world but it doesn't seem fair that you had to give up that luscious looking bone. We guess it's like when the assistant drops something good smelly on the kitchen floor and won't let us snarf it up. Bummer.

  39. Poor Molly, all that work for nothing! Now someone else will enjoy the fruits of your labor. Sometimes life is not fair.
