The world most expensive omelette.
Norma’s
restaurant in Manhattan’s Le Parker Meridien Hotel has laid claim to the
world's most expensive omelette, setting you back a mere $1,000. Called the
Zillion Dollar Lobster Frittata, it comprises of an omelette filled with lobster and
topped with $650 worth of caviar. Just needs a few gold flakes and serve with a
of a bottle of Cristal Champagne. For seasoning you can add salt made from
human tears. You can even choose what kind of
tears you like, picking from salt made from tears of anger, sorrow, laughter,
chopping onions or sneezing, cheap at £30 a set. Checked out the store cupboard
and will be making my own version for supper tonight. Infused with Omega 3 fish
oil, my omelette will be mixed with bite sized pieces of tripe and topped with chocolate
ant sprinkles and a few tuna flakes. Instead of chives as I am allergic to
anything green I will stick two rodeo bars in it. I’m drooling at just the
thought of it so off to rattle some pots and pans.
And for
those wishing to cook this up for supper tonight here is what you will need. Happy
eating folks, Bon Appetite!
Ingredients
for this little Eggs-travangance!
- 6 eggs
- 1 tablespoons of chopped chives
- 1½ tablespoons of butter
- 1 lobster
- 5 tablespoons of heavy cream
- 10 ounces American Sturgeon caviar.
- Two chive leaves arranged in the manner of a
two fingered salute! Enjoy.....
Somehow - I don't think I could get ma to spring for the ingredients!

ReplyDeleteHi Anita , I am a dog of many talents and I have for sometime been working on my culinary masterpiece, ' Meals From The Field' but haven't got past Squiggle Pie yet. I am thinking of adding my OMG Omelette in the chapter on tripe. Have a lovely day.

Whoa. Think we'll stick with regular omelette...with some freeze dried chicken topping. Yum!
ReplyDeleteHi Furries , chicken topping sounds good to me , couldn't think of a polite way to describe the disgusting caviar creation above.
DeleteBest wishes Molly
My guys definitely vote for the version that has tripe! One of their favorite foods!
ReplyDeleteHi Taryn , hmmm me too particularly when left out on a hot day to make it extra smelly.
DeleteBest wishes Molly
It'll be those last two chives that knock the price right up! Deccy x
ReplyDeleteHi Deccy , think you might be right , they have a cheaper version for $500 and it comes with one chive leaf arranged in the one finger salute!
DeleteBest wishes Molly
Fortunately for Mum we ladies don't actually like fish!!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Hiya Hannah and Lucy , what a pity at only $1000 waiting for someone to try it. It maybe a long wait!!!!!
DeleteBest wishes Molly
I don't eat cheap, ready made foods and you forgot to add truffles and more gold leaf please!
ReplyDeleteYours Croesus.
No worries Croesus , I'll make adjustments and add some diamond powder as well!
DeleteBest wishes Molly
Sounds yummy! I will send my assistant out now to pick up these ingredients!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip

You know you've got money when.......LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi Bassetmomma , even with the money it still looks revolting.
DeleteBest wishes Molly
I think I'll just take my eggs over medium. That's good enough fo rme.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Oh Goose , don't blame you it looks disgusting and I bet it tastes awful. Have a great day
DeleteBest wishes Molly
I'll just take some Chicken Eggs Scrambled with a bit of Buttermilk and cooked up with a bit of bacon grease.
ReplyDeleteHiya Frankie and Ernie , sadly apart from Pip we have no takers for this delightful supper tonight. Wonder why?
DeleteBest wishes Molly
Doesn't look like we'll be affording it any time soon!
ReplyDeleteDip Bridge and Elliot x
Hi Dip Dip and the Bridge , you and me both. Anyway think I prefer my tripe version.
DeleteBest wishes Molly
We vote for the tripe omelet.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked our Hummingbird Cottage you can see more pics of it on our blog ~Socks http://alasandra2003.blogspot.com/
Hi Socks , thank you for the tripe vote! Will be over to see Hummingbird Cottage in a wee while.

$1000 for an omelet!? WOW!!!! OMD!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that recipe looks delicious...if I could afford caviar!! lol. Once again this is Dakota's Mom!
Hi Dakota's mum , how's things? Will pop over in a bit.
DeleteBest wishes Molly
Holey Moley, that's one expensive omelet. We prefer mums, just eggs, ham, cheese and chopped tomato. We'd rather have $1000 spent on us hehe. Take care sweetie. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteHello me pals down under, yours sounds good to me too but a sprinkling of beef and hold the toms is just what I need. My raid on the larder was confiscated so my attempts at tripe supper was thwarted , ended up with sad boring vile kibbles lite. Hellllp friends!
DeleteBest wishes Molly
Molly, you missed out the soupçon of slobber for that je ne c'est quois
ReplyDeleteOh Nelly there was no slobber left after it had fallen all over the keyboard. Luckily my human did not notice.
DeleteBest wishes Molly
Wow, that sounds like an ultra impressive omelette. Maybe that's what you can name it...the Ultra Impressive Omelette!
ReplyDeletePat
Critter Alley
Hi K9friend , what a good idea! Hope you are all having a good day?
DeleteBest wishes Molly
Huh?
ReplyDeleteI guess I prefer simple scrambled eggs!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Hi Lorenza
DeleteThat appears to be the consensus , so it's back to the drawing board for me to find us doglets and catlets something we'd like.
Best wishes Molly
I’d suck back the lobster and caviar! (yum!) And the black and whites can have the eggs! (yuck!)
ReplyDeleteHi BlackWhite , let's see if I can beat that one and find something stranger!
DeleteBest wishes Molly
Wow, I didn't realize they let dogs in to dine!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Finn! Hope you are having a good day!
DeleteBest wishes Molly
Cannot believe an omelette can be that expensive! Hope yours turns out delicious!
ReplyDeleteHi KSO
DeleteMy OMG Molly Omelette was wonderful. It took a mere 20 seconds to eat which was the unfortunate part. Have a great day!
Best wishes Molly
Oh Molly dearest let's hop in my private jet then take the Bently to that wonderful restaurant, my treat....oh wait no I mean let's get Dad to take us to our local McDonald's and eat off the new summer 99p menu! Ha,Ha! Love, Licks and Hugs from your Pugalier Pal Frank x x x x x
ReplyDeleteHi Frank The Tank , I was thinking of a loiter round the rubbish bins which we can't afford to be emptied and then a jog to poundland where we might find some scram before jetting off to the tax-haven sun drenched play boy paradise's where we can invite our doglet friends to join.
