Flog It Blog It, Olympic Spoil Sports!

Molly The Wally Blogville Olympics.

London 2012 Olympic Spoil Sports.

First we had florist Lisa Cross, being told by trading standards officials that colourful rings she put up in her window constituted an unauthorised use of the Olympic logo. This left her at risk of being sued by 'Games' organisers.

Then a cafe manager who displayed five bagels in the style of Olympics rings was stunned to be raided by community wardens from the council. What will they do next? We can see the headline, ‘Man arrested for blowing 5 smoke-rings in public’!

Now A men's clothing hire shop in Surbiton, South-West London, has produced a range of clothes with squares rather than rings in the Olympic colours. Written above them is an interesting spelling of London 2012 Olympics. I'd buy one just for the sheer cheeky hilarity!

Meanwhile London has Olympic fever. We have ‘Maj The New Bond Girl’ meeting and greeting.

Granddaughter Zara competition in the dressage on High Kingdom.

The cycling through the streets of London, passing by Maj’s pad.

The guys favourite, the Beach Volleyball.

The pubs are all decked out to celebrate.

And lastly the fireworks.

We hope you are all enjoying the start of the games.

Over in Blogville we have had,

Opening speech by Frankie.

The opening ceremony by Roo.

The parade of athletes by Posie.

The events to come by Mona & Weenie.

The window nose art event by Jazzi.

The swimming event by Sarge.

The bouncing event by Bertie.

The walkin' about the neighborhood event by Corbin.

And the beach ball event by Benny & Lily.

Have a great day!

  1. You'd think they'd be pleased that people were getting into the spirit of things, rather than getting cross about use of the logo.

I don't understand why the Olympic Committee is so PAWtective of the RINGS... They should be GLAD that peeps want to support the Olympians in very Original ways. I am so happy that Blogville doesn't act so silly.

  24. Wow, that pub is amazing. I haven't seen anything like that in Scotland, although 25,000 people did turn out in Aberdeen to see the torch relay a few weeks ago.
Hope you're all having lots of Olympic fun down there.

  26. You are quite right Molly, they are spoil sports!...should you have mentioned the 'O' word at all?...that's not Organisers, it's the word with a 'y' in it and ends with an 's'...lol.

  27. The games had a great opening and are going wonderfully! BTW, my dad worked brand protection for the 2002 Olympics and there is every possibility the smoke rings would be an issue - LOL! They take these things very seriously (we think too much but that is just our opinion).

    Your friends,

    Murphy & Stanley

PS - Mitt Romney did NOT "SAVE" the 2002 Olympics, sorry he is suck a ding-a-ling.

  28. Have you met my doggie Duchess? She would just get along great with you. But she doesn't know squat about the Olympics. We have our own in the back yard when ever she wants to run and fetch -- we are still working on the returning part but, it is improving! My granddaughters and she were so worn out on Thursday night that everyone dropped off to sleep fast and easy!

Thanks for you consistent comments, Molly!!!! greatly love it!!!
