Blog From The Dog House, Food Fuss!

Molly The Wally the chef. A spot of cooking.

Funny Food you may not want to eat?

Are we a fussy food nation I ask? The British have been revealed to be the most likely nation to leave food on their plates. The most hated food this side of the pond is the humble snail. The Fussy Food Nation Report also found that among the top 20 most hated foods were liver, olives, black pudding, kippers, blue cheese, beetroot, sardines, and Brussels sprouts. What may come as a shock to the foodies amongst us is the fact that delicacies such as avocado, goats’ cheese, pate, prawns and mushrooms have made the top 40 most disliked foods.  This shows us that once and for all we’re a nation of fussy eaters. Someone needs to tell my peeps as that means more left on the plate for me. I’m lucky if I get to lick the plate in the dishwasher! I bet the top favourites were fish and chips, chips and pie, sausage and chips and anything else that goes with chips or just chips. We bring you some foods that we would forgive you for not wanting to try.

Maybe one for Julian Assange!

The Fud will get you in a fuddle muddle!

Holly Kraps, sounds like one for Batman!

For the Zombies out there!

Crack me up!

Anyone for a cuppa?

Anyone know what a caulk is?

Woop it up with a Wupi!

And now be afraid, be very afraid.......

But don’t worry you can wash it down with.......

Bone appetite! What is your worst food?

  6. Morning Molly....
Even,I, Madi, who willingly eats anything that doesn't run from me, would probably turn up my tiny pink, freckled nose at some of those.
About the worst thing Mom has seen around and about here on menus are:
brains and eggs(probably the brains of the idiot who eats it)and liver pudding.
    Hugs Madi your BFFF

  13. I'll take some cheese crack. As for the rest, I don't know. But as MOM says, you never know if you won't like it if you don't try it. So I guess I will take one of each with a side or a gallon of beer.
    Blessings,

  19. Hey Molly!
Wow, my Mom just rolled on the floor laughing! BWAR HAR HAR. Krapps, caulk, brains, ICK and BLECH! I wouldn't touch any of that stuff. Here, I avoid anything that is a fruit or veggie. Well, except for peanut butter which I consider an entire food group all by itself! BOL Thanks for the big chuckle.

  20. The worsted thing what I ever saw was the 'surstroemming', a fermented sour baltic herring which my grandparents bought in sweden. It stunk like hell and we were not able to eat something. Think this is not food this is strategic material....btw: your picture is gorgeous!!!

  24. Sponge-covered caulk???? Where do the marketers come up with these very unappealing names. Pickled pigs lips - hmmmm, now if there were dehydrated, they just might make some great chews for us pups.
