Lark At The Park, What A Roar!

Essex reports roaming lion. Molly The Wally Investigates!

Essex report roaming lion but was it really just a cat?

Today we bring you our mane story and with it the silly holiday season goes out with a roar. At the bank holiday weekend a report of a roaming lion caused mayhem and an extensive pawlice operation was launched in a field in Essex. Needless to say he was feline peckish so was on his way to the shopping maul. 30 pawlice officers, marksmen and two helicopters with heat seeking devices searched for hours to no avail. The search has now been tailed off and it is believed the chief suspect was none other than a Maine Coon cat called Teddy Bear. Poor old Teddy all he wanted was to go for a stroll and have a good long nap in the sun in his local field. Suddenly there are all these people running away screaming out ‘LION’! Anyone who mistakes a cat for a lion really needs to go to Specsavers. Thus the wonder that was the Essex lion passes into myth alongside ‘The Yetti’, ‘Big Foot’, The Loch Ness Monster and other such legendary creatures.

  22. hey Molly,

BOL! Great story! I am sure that kitty-cat's ego just shot to the moon! To be mistaken as a lion is pretty impressive! You look very lion-like, and I really like how the mane matches your muzzle fur. Don't let they pawlice see you or they may think you are the runaway lion!
