Dog House Blog, Larry Is Sacked.

Larry The Dining Street Cat is sacked!

David Cameron Sacks Larry The Cat!

Larry the cat was originally adopted by our Prime Minister ‘Just Call Me Dave’ from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Like his owner, Larry takes his chillaxing very seriously but it would appear this time he has gone too far. His mouse catching has amounted to nothing less than a cat-alog of disasters and one cat-astrophy after another. The last straw came when he was found fast asleep in the study at ‘Number 10’ whilst a mouse ran amok unhindered. Previously it had taken 6 months before Larry had had a confirmed kill and since then the score board reads an astounding big fat zero. In the second major reshuffle this month Larry has now been sidelined as ‘Chief Mouser’ due to paw performance. Mr Cameron has now drafted in Chancellor George Osborne's tabby Freya as the new Mouser of State to patrol the ‘Corridors of Pawer’. Sources claim Larry will be partially relinquished of his duties and have described the new arrangement as a job share to avoid any hurt felines. However my sources at Molly Media have informed me that Larry is furr-ious and has taken to coughing up hair-balls of fury on ‘Just Call Me Daves’ impawtant documents. “The press are just against me and are acting as a mousepiece for Freya’s advancement to number 10, she will do anything to claw her way to the top” an angry Larry told us. “I will be suing ‘Just Call Me Dave’ for meowlicious purrsecution,” he stated adamantly. We think he will be milking this for all that it is worth!

  1. Go get em Larry! How dare they print meowlicious things about your hunting abilities! Bet you're great at catchin lizards ;)

    Waggin at ya,

  2. Some cats could just care less about meeses! lol

  3. LARRY THE CAT....hmmmm, I THINK this is what has happened. He has gone undercover HERE in the USA, Minnesota, in fact, and his mouse and RABBIT slaughters have taken place in MY GARDEN! OH YES, sources here at Rabbit Hill have proof..a snappy of Larry with half a bunny in his jaws of death!!

  4. Hi Molly,
Thats so unfair to Larry, Just call me Dave had no right to have a cabinet reshuffle without consulting the Cheif Mouser. How does Dave know it was only 1 mouse, Larry could have buried them. Like most of the government Larry was only doing what ALL politians do burying bad smells!

  5. You go Larry. If Larry ever wanted to call me I could lend a paw. Voles are a lot like mice and my score board ready 87 to 3 in my favor.

  6. Maybe Larry is a bit more like Ferdinand the Bull, remember that book? He's more of a peace-loving cat and prefers to remain friends with mice!

  7. So ya saying,Larry's not getting rid of all the Rats at No 10.. lol
Have a great day Molly xxooxx

  8. We have three kitties and two (Baby and Ernie) are confirmed mousers, one (Scooter) will watch the mouse stroll by without moving a muscle. WE hope Larry likes his new co-worker

    urban hounds

  9. Maybe Larry could be Prime Minister instead?

    hugs Madi your BFFF

  13. Hello dear Molly,
perhaps Larry is a pacifist and prefers to play hide and seek with mice all day long and fells good and with love fullfilled!?
    Best regards

  14. My friend Izzy the cat also just watches mice. She thinks they are very entertaining.

  15. We hope Larry has learned his lesson. We would try to give him some tips, but our skills tend toward bunny hunting rather than mousing.

Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

  16. Molly....
Larry the Cat sounds like Garfield!! He is always friends with mice.... Allowing them to room in Jon's house!! Hee, hee, hee.... ;-D
Seriously, however. I owned a feline once, this boy named Yoda, who never--never--chased or caught mice!!
Love, Raelyn.... And Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!

  17. Some mice are super tricky. Just think of Tom and Jerry! ;)

  18. We haven't met a mouse. Well, we had a hamster brother before and all Cosmo did was carry him all over the house and leaving saliva all over Knut. Ling wasn't the least bit interested.

  19. Molly, I'd like to go mousiest hunting with you! : ) Henry

  20. I don't know.....mice can be very sneaky! I just hope Larry knows better now. LOL!

  21. Hawooo woooo! Love them mousies!

    RA, Isis & Nanük

  22. Come on Larry . . . sounds like it's time!

    Your friends,

  25. We get rid of the mice here! You can't trust cats.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

SHE says to tell you that was a clever piece of blogging....very funny!

  26. We haven't had mice for a long time, I don't know. Years ago our Baggy got a mouse, now I don't think he would.

    Happy Monday. Hailey and Zaphod

  27. Oh boy. Maybe Mr. Kitteh could find a new job in Napping and Sitting Around.

  28. Oh-oh!
Sounds like he found the motive to do a better job!
    Good luck!
    Kisses and hugs

  29. When I see mices? I chase them!! Who needs kitties to do the job??

  30. Sounds like unfair dismissal to me?! Sure it was all part of Larry's cunning plan to lure the Mouse out, right?!

    Loved this post :)

    Have fun,

    Your pal Snoopy :)

  31. I hope they gave Larry a good severance package at least.

    Loveys Sasha

  32. Was this a political rant? I stopped after the first two lines because the mousy was in danger. Run!

    Huggies and Cheese,

    1. Haopee , nope , no mousy was hurt in the compilation of this story , that is the point. Have a good day!
      Best wishes Molly

  33. I'm scared for the mouse! run, run, run!

We slept for 3 nights in a van with a mouse. I was terrified. Our dogs did nothing about it. Maybe we need a cat.
