Slog It Blog, I Been Sicky Icky!

Molly Does Frankenweenie.

I have had the Sicky Ickies and we went to the dawgtor.

First we had ‘The Barf Puddle Incident’ and then last week I did a Puddles  and became very ill. To quote Puddles I would say, “I was POISONED! Sorry, mum says I is bein' a drama queen...whatevers!” In fact I felt like, well not myself. First we had the icky sicky and then we had sicky icky with blood for extra dramatic effect. We rushed over to the dawgtor and then I was dragged howling and kicking into the evil torture chamber. There the nasty Dr.Frankenstein shoved the sticky thing up my butt and I was none too pleased I can tell you. Oh the shame of it. Then if that wasn’t bad enough they stuck me with a needle which as Frankie would say was a 87 gazillion inches long. Just because I was brave and didn’t yelp the cruel man did it again and then once more. Three times he jabbed me I will have you know. Not once, not twice but THREE TIMES. Then he turns to my peeps and starts talking all kinds of mumbo jumbo. By now I am really vexed and giving him the evil eye. I have only one evil eye on him as the other is looking at the treat jar. The cheek of it after spending monies which amounts to the GDP of a small nation did I get a treat I hear you ask? Not on your Nelly. Well by now I am just about to have a mammoth Diva Hissy Fit when I heard the words ‘Chicken N Rice’. Yep from now on it was ‘Chicken N Rice’ three times a day.  That made my day I can tell you. So last week comprised of lots of naps, lots of spitting out of tablets and ‘Chicken N Rice’. As for the poison an investigation is underway as I write. I told you the park can be a dangerous place. Have you ever felt not like yourself? I am well now but the problem of the poison grass is still a mystery.

With Halloween coming up we have opened the Spooky Gallery (last tab on the right). To join just pop over to Mollie & Alfie leave a comment asking to be Spookified and they will showcase the Phantom Booth each day. We will then post them on our Spooky Gallery which will be updated daily with the newest entries first. Let’s get in the mood for Halloween pups and kits!

  3. Thank goodness you have made a full recovery from that poopy episode! Whew.
A few years ago, I had a similar episode (and with my long white fur, you can just imagine the amount of washing Mommy had to do) and was given THREE awful jabs too! The first two, I could still tolerate but the third one really made me (and Mommy) very upset. Mommy thinks it was probably from the freshly opened food which she eventually returned to the supplier.

  10. Chicken and rice-good. Butt pokes-BAD! I am glad you are better. But you must find the source of the Poisoned grass. You could save a whole village of pups the same fate.

  12. Oh no, Molly, not the ickie sickies. We are so sorry to hear this. Phantom has the ickie sickies all the time now, or so it seems. No fun with those needle pokes and the yucky pills. But chicken and rice isn't so bad, is it?

Did you say the PHANTOM booth - how cool - our Phantom is thrilled. We hope to make an appearance too.

Hope you are feeling lots better soon.

  16. Lissen, Molly, just forget about spitting out those pills because they don't do you a bit of good on the carpet and all kinds of good in your belly. Remember these words next time you get one.

I am sorry you have been sick, seems like lots of dogs are these days, maybe something going around.

Get well, sweets, and stay well.

  18. Sorry to read that you have been so ill and you had to go to the Doggy Doctor!..do hope you are feeling much better now. (incidentally, mum was told by a friend that recently some kids have been putting Anti-Freeze into dog water bowls outside of shops in the local town!!...they make sure I never drink from them now, although I have to say I am pretty fussy when it comes to water purification!).

  22. First of all, get well soon. Your post is soooo funny, I kept laughing and forgot I ought to be sympathetic to your icky sicky, as you put it. 26. So sorry that you were sick too; so glad you're feeling better!
The Dude (puppycat) had 3 vet visits, 3 shots & 3 X-rays in the last 2 days. He also spits out pills & liquid medicine. He looked like he was getting ready for Halloween early, the right side of his face was so swollen. Luckily he looks & feels much better today.

  32. Molly, I am so sorry you've been sick and even sorrier that you had to have three jabs! I hope all that chicken and rice has helped you forget the indignities you suffered at the evil torture chamber. Is it my imagination, or are there way too many sick pups in the blog world right now? Get well soon!

  36. Molly I am so sorry that you had the sickies! Did you see any suspicious squirrels around that might have slipped something into your food?? I hope you are all better and I love chicken and rice, so that part is ok. I have one of those Frankenweenie things that Mommy did on Facebook for me. She made me look all scary, like that could ever happen. It is fun to look scary sometimes though.

    Take it easy and rest.
