Flog It Blog It, The Buck Stops Here, Not!

Molly The Wally The Sage In Pink!

Gun toting action figures mean four year old children can now act out a bank robbery?

Now just when you thought you’d seen it all we were astounded to ferret out this. We even had to check out our calendar to make sure April had not snuck up on us early. Wearing dark glasses the blonde dolly points her pistol at the smiley bank manager as he hands over the gold. A line from some Po Po show……hmm think not.  It is just one of the fun games you can buy your four year olds to act out in Playmobils’ Bank and Safe set. Other scenarios include a a cash machine heist and a good old fashioned money robbery.  Steady on Sarge and Sidebite we are not wanting these in Blogville as it will give Puddles more ideas on how to get free Cheetos and beer.  The Early Learning Centre website sells the toy for £34.99, and state ‘the bank robber is after the money and is demanding the key to the safe. What will the bank manager do? Opps and it gets worse as there is no justice in Playmobils’ world as you would have to fork out £24.99 for the police car with flashing light from the City Action range to get to the bank and save the manager and the money. This is not the first time the German company has landed itself in hot water.  It also raised more than a few eyebrows with a construction worker themed toy which included shovels, handsaws, a broom and three crates of beer. What next we shudder to think!

Don’t forget your fortunes if you missed them during the circus. You can find them at the links below and the Chip In is available for your donation on the right hand side.

If you did not realise the deadline for your very own Mystic Molly Fortune was the 1st of Feb and you'd still like one done, panic not. For the good causes the charity is for, I will cast my eye over your fortunes once again. Just promise to give extra to the Chip In and email me at MollyDOTthewallyATbitinternetDOTcom and I will send you one. The cost is 1$ but if you feel it is worth more every little extra helps. You can then read it in private or post it on your blog. No worries as long as you give me a few days I am happy to work to add extra into the fund.
Best wishes Molly

  3. Hmmm...not exactly the kind of "toys" for a 4 year old...
On another note, just think of all the fun stuff they can do if the theme was politics.

  11. I think the playmobil designers saw our street workers and created the construction worker close to reality ;o) Have a fabulous Monday and if you plan a bank robbery and you need a driver for the getaway car - don't ask my mom ;o)

  12. Hi Molly,

I think the playmobil designers need to go one step further, how about courts with lawyers and wardens ready to look you up......crime does'nt pay!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Is that considered an educational toy???? And there are people who will pay for their kids to play with trash.
    Thanks for being a friend

  16. Toys are too close to society! We were all thinking of you last night cuz mom recorded Downton Abbey to watch and it only recorded 1 hour instead of two. Here's the shocker . . . it was her first time to see it! So now she will have to just see your episodes!

  33. Looks like the NRA reached your shores! Here, we have a video game where 4 year olds can take target practice and hit targets shaped like coffins. I can't make this stuff up!

  34. Hmmm... I'm not too sure about that toy! Lol... I did buy a cool baby toy today though. It's a baby DJ turntable hehe. I am sad that I missed out on the fortunes (I didn't realize the deadline til it was too late!) but it is ok, I read some of the other fortunes and they were great! I did donate just a little to the circus though.

  37. WOW just look at all those fortunes Molly! You are certainly a Jil of all trades, those glasses are just the tip of the iceberg!

  38. Oh wow Molly, when your page came up we thought we were watching an episode of Deserate Housewives of the Blogosphere. That is one very strange toy. Should we worry more about the children who play with it or the parents who would buy such a thing for their four year old.

Thanks again for taking the time to read the crystal ball for our Mama, she is still contemplating your words. We enjoyed reading everyone's fortunes.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oops! That should have read Desperate Housewives. Typing with paws doesn't always work out.

  41. Sometimes I find humans and their ideas quite confusing! :) What's wrong with a ball to play with?
