Dog House Blog, Getting The Abbey Habit!

Molly The Wally St Patricks' Day!

Listowel In Ireland Hold World Record Breaking Nunday!

Listowel in Ireland exceeded all expectations the other week when up to 1,500 people dressed as nuns descended on the town center making a holy show of themselves in an effort to set a world record. However trouble began after pub closing time when police raided a pub full of nuns drinking illegally. Now that is a bad habit, bar-nun! The trouble benun when the publican served alcohol long after official licensing laws allowed. A police raid discovered a pub full of nuns who were definitely the worse for wear. They were nun too happy. When the second raid happened the publican was not on the premises. He was acting as an unofficial taxi driver. Listowel is a small community and there were not enough taxis available. Christy the pub landlord said he is not bothered by the fine and he has vowed to continue raising money for charity. The event raised 26,000 euros or £22,500 for Pieta House . A local convent and priest were consulted before it was decided to hold a Nunday. Their blessings were given and the event took place in the right spirit. Perhaps the after time drinking meant that the good spirit went a little too far or was it just too much holy water? What a Nunderful World!

Happy Saint Patricks’ Day for tomorrow everybody! Make it a good one!
