Bog Blog, Keep The Poop in The Loop!

Molly The Wally Bog Blog!
Warning Fart Art .......hideous content alert!

Britains’ first commercial venture to convert dog poop into free heat and renewable electricity is to be unveiled in July. The power scheme dubbed ‘Poopy Power’ has been three years in development. Mr.Downie the brainchild behind the company Streekleen says that we should get beyond the yuck factor and consider waste as an economic commodity. Poop is currently trading on the New York Stock Exchange at 3 cents a pound so send all your poop to Streetkleen and make some money.

Joking apart maybe we should send Mr.Downie this piece of art (?) from Hong Kong! The large brown sculpture was created by L.A. artist, Paul McCarthy and he calls it Complex Life.  The artist gave no rhyme or reason, according to the museum's executive director, but the whole point is that it makes a statement. Yea that would be a really big, brown, shiny, stinky  useless statement then. Maybe Mother Nature can unleash a missive rain storm and flush it away.

No sorry we can't get beyond the yuck factor. Anyone got a big enough poop bag out there?

  13. What a poop! One has to wonder about the minds of the people who think up these things. Yesterday I heard about a report that said eating your own boogers is good for you.....it's like .....why would anyone even want to research that????

  14. Great! I could be my own generation station and we could use the power for my crib... imagine I had beans.... wow, what an illumination :o) Have a funny thursday :o)

WOW that must have been ONE HUGE GIANT POOPER of a Dog to make THAT Pile. It would probably BREAK our mom's Pooper Scooper thingy.

  23. So what this Poop into Fuel thingy is really saying is... HOT S**T Right?

  24. I don't think I'd want to live near the electric plant that converts all the poop. I imagine the air would be rather stinky at all times!

  25. Eweeeeeeee. I hope it doesn't smell.

  26. Hey Molly!
Wow, what a weird idea! I'm all up for recycling and green energy, but brown/stinky energy is a whole other ballgame. If they need methane, who not tap into all of those smelly belching cows?!? hmmmm That sculpture is disgusting...and not in a good way! BOL
    Grr and Woof,

  27. That is quite some sculpture!
We have read something about them using the fat from the poop in the sewers to make fuel - yes, ewwwww.

  28. Yuck is right. I don't buy any of it. You can't process poop. In 10 years people will be dying from lung cancer from inhaling the smell of that sh*t. Sorry, no pun intended. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  29. We don't know about converting poop, but we suppose, why not? Not so long ago in human history, dried dung had to be burned for fuel--probably still is in many poverty-stricken areas. Might as well put it to good use. LOL.

As for that so-called sculpture--referring to it as "art" is a wild stretch. Just our $0.02.

Oh, and re: your comment on our post today: GOOD LUCK with whoever ends up as your neighbours! Ours bought the adjoining townhouse 15 months ago, a young family, 2 kids, and you've never heard the like--the screaming, fighting, tantrums, pounding up and down the stairs, slamming doors...and that's just the mother. Never mind the father, who's had affairs, who seems to have no regard for his wife or kids and who, from the sounds of things, has crossed the line into abusive several times. ::Shudder:: Then there's the 8-year old boy and 7-year old daughter, chips off the old blocks, as it were. Our human does her best to keep a low profile, because the mother has proven to be confrontational and unbalanced and irrational, and the husband gives our human the heebee jeebies.

  30. Hehehehe! I've heard about the poop conversion idea...I think that it might be a little bit stinky though! ;-) Um...is that sculpture made out of poo or just inspired by it?! Cause that would be gross!! Hehehe!

  31. Wrigs is so pleased to learn that his poop is now a valuable commodity. We're wondering if someone actually paid Mr. McCarthy to create that sculpture. Oh, the nasty things that are done under the guise of art.

  36. Perhaps mummy should save my poops and turn them into a sculpture BOL

  37. Oh dear... "art." Right.

As for the energy idea... I guess it's a renewable resource at least!

    ReplyDelete
  38. The art kinda looks like hippos.

Our Lady says for the amount of money she spends feeding us, being able to turn it into energy would be good!

  39. Hmmm... sure do hope no one has to clean that up! MOUSES! purrs

  40. If they can make that work... I guess go them! I think the hard part may be finding employees to shovel 3 tons of poop a day into a turbine lol. Are you sure that's not Jabba the Hut?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Wow, that looks almost as big as mine! You know what kind of mess a dachshund leaves lying around...

guess whats, I has just acquired a copy of your e-book; I no was familiar with your authorship before! I looks greatly forward to reading about those scandalous squirrels.

    Nice regards

  44. Well if they could find the creature that produced the last pile there would be an endless abundance of energy. Enough to power the entire country as long as said creature was kept well fed.
