The Cancer furry friend is a home living type. They are keenly sensitive to their environment so make sure their home is aesthetically pleasing and you will have a happy housemate. The domestic Cancerian needs to be treated like a family member rather than a family pet. These companions are not only sensitive but practically psychic. They know when you are going to leave them and they will even run and hide when a trip to the vet is due. These anipals are the most sensitive and nurturing of all the zodiac signs. They have may have a tough exterior but that simply hides their open and receptive little hearts. They want to take care of you but be taken care of in return. Like the crab, they will never approach matters directly but will sidle up to you wilst hinting that they need or want something. Your home loving furry friend has little interest in leaving his happy little abode. It would have to be something very special for them to forgo sanctuary for what lies beyond. If they could hide away under a blanket from all the hustle and bustle of life they would. They hate it when you leave home and will wait anxiously for your return. They secretly harbour abandonment issues. 

Their favourite times are nights spent at home with you. Cancer anipals are shy and sensitive on meeting new people and animals and may appear antisocial. Truthfully they don't care for strangers at all. They need to be around other sensitive and caring souls. Outgoing and boisterous friends will make their fur stand on end.
Your Cancer furry friend is ruled by the moon and sometimes they will exhibit some loony behavior. When the moon if full watch out for some odd ball antics. Suddenly running up and down stairs or playing with soft furnishings can be solely blamed on La Luna. However take it in your stride as you don't want to hurt the feelings of these sensitive creatures. When the moon is new they are at their lowest ebb so plenty of naps are in order. When the moon is waxing you might get them to go out and have a little adventure or two. But when the moon if full, well anything can happen.

Forget giving your Cancer companion left-overs. You'll only get a look of hurt and bewilderment. Why would they want with left-overs when they should be entitled to the same food as you the same time you are eating it?  Their mantra is, what yours is mine and whats' mine is yours. Leave your furry friend to go on holiday and you will find yourself ignored and punishment on your return.

The phases of the moon is the key if you want to understand their sometimes strange behaviour. Their moods ebb and flow in accordance with Lunar activity. So keep an eye on the sky at night and make allowances for your little home-buddy furry friend.
