Dog House Blog, Heard The Word!

Molly The Wally Hates Word Verification!

When we first started we use to have word verification and it never dawned on my servants' tiny mind that is a real pain in the butt. However lucky for us Frankie here came to our rescue and sweetly pointed out that it drives the assistants nuts. We removed it without problem, crossed paws. That got us thinking what daft word verifications (WV) prompts come up apart from the usual illegible gibberish?

Yep crazy about sums up most of the words WV throws up.

I hear you now.........we too..........

One for when you have those little accidents indoors.

In these incidents take the advice below and blame it on the squirrels.

Make sure it is a good lie or you might get a .......

And if you are caught? Well...........

Or you could blame it on the ............

Or maybe the .........

Or just on the...............

And if none of those work......well........

Have a terrific Tuesday all.

Coming soon ....Maudikaes' second book Fishfinger.........fun trailer video below. All books details on the relevant page tabs. Enjoy!

  4. Oh Molly do we agree word verification is a PITA!!! And when they switched to the new version and crazy font at angles with numbers Mom went bonkers.
We mentioned removing it to several folks..evidently they did not realize it was on their blog.

  5. HERE HERE! I think YOU should be queen of blogland, Miz Molly. Look at that first photo of you; the Queen MUST be photogenic....CHECK! The Queen must have a sense of humor...CHECK! The Queen must be KEEN (American sense of the word for SHARP, BRIGHT, SMART!)...CHECK!

    That's you Miz Molly!

  9. Word Verification can be the worst! I've had times where I've given up trying to leave someone a comment because I just could not get the WV right!

  10. The verification thingy can be so frustrating to my MOM. She considers them a great challenge , like a puzzle, now. And the joy she feels when she gets it right. I agree, "Off with their head".

  11. I agree Miss Molly - off with it's head!

  12. That is why we started the anti-word verification unit (you can see it on the right hand side of our blog) and it is just getting worse - it use to be just one word - now it it is two and numbers. For peeps like our Mom who is slightly dyslectic they are worse thing ever created!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I so agree and we can almost always not read those boogers!

    ReplyDelete
  14. i do not like word verification! ugh!!!

did you know that you can ignore the numbers part of those codes completely? just type in the word part and it'll accept it. and if it uses two words, one is 'normal' and usually long - you can ignore that one, too.

  15. Those were too funny! Usually we just get nonsense, not real words. (Evilest Presbyterian???)

We hate word verification, though. Not only Bloggers's but the other versions we've seen too, on non-Google blogs. They're all a pain in the butt and 99.99% of them are very hard to make out.

If you find you get spam, just disable anonymous commenters (if you haven't already done so). That eliminates almost all spam--or has for us.

  16. Have you ever seen a discrepancy and it's gone through anyway? I have. Have you ever been certain you had it right and had to do another because it said you got it wrong? I have had that happen too. Word verification sucks.

  17. EVIL Presbyterians... Hey... We are Presbys... BaaaaaWaaaah...
OH YEAH... I hate the Word Varification thingys... butt the ones with the numbers are the WORST. We think they may have stopped THAT stuffs though.

OMD OMD FISHFINGER... THAT was STUNNING and WE sang right along with it.
PeeS... you surely did make Madi a happy Kitty. YOU are such a WONDERFUL furend.

  19. Okay Molly this is how we figured out our mom is really a robot cos it took her 122 tries to ever get past that word verification thingy.....we have learned to accept it but at first i was shocked...it explains why she can't cook, or sew, or craft, at least she does love us real good!

I don't understand why there are always two words to verify. It is not like they are giving us two chances to get it right.
Glad you enjoyed our gymnastics on the down side of the hill.

  39. Well, at least we were able to read all of the silly word verifications you posted. Some of them are near impossible, especially the ones in the shadowy window. Sometimes it take 3 or 4 attempt before we get it right, and that just makes us not want to visit that blog.

Good post. Can't wait for the Fishfinger episodes.

  53. Years ago, I got a variation of "Up Yours" and "Balls," back to back. (I wrote about it, too, just like you have, but not as funny.) Anyway, I think I got the last laugh, ultimately. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  54. Those are too funny. I hate captcha too. (I figured out recently though, on the ones with a word and a # - where the # is almost always impossible to see - you only have to enter the word and it will "take"!)

Turned captcha off on my blog a while back and have been hounded by spam, but will now attempt to turn off Anon. comments. Hopefully that will take care of the spam, without interfering with real folks trying to comment.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I've been waiting for one of these funny words, but all I get is gibberish.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Molly, we love reading your blog in the morning :-) Captcha drives us crazy!

    ReplyDelete
  64. MOL MOL MOL! And those were days when the words were even legible. Today, WV is nothing but just gibberish and a real pain to bother with.

    ReplyDelete
  65. This is too funny, heehee :) I hate word verification. I just have my comments set so anyone can leave a comment, except if you are anonymous. NO anonymous-ers can leave comments-- that seems to keep the spam away. I've been perfectly happy with that and have no need for word verification.

    ReplyDelete
  66. OMG YOU ARE INSANE LOL. That video was JUST TOO DAMNED FUNNY!!
Also, clapping my paws about the word verification!! YAY FOR YOU!!!
