Don’t Be A Turkey, Make Tasty Jerky! | GBGV | Tasty Tuesday

While you are busy eating that big bird, why not let the dog feast on some tasty turkey jerky? At first we really did not know how this recipe idea would work out, but it actually turned out to be the easiest, quickest and best jerky we have made yet.

I started as usual by getting out all my ingredients and equipment.

Because food is on everyone’s mind these days, I had two students, cat bro Bert, and Bailie. They were very eager students! First I explained how we were going to make the jerky.

My GBGV Life checking the mixer

Next I had the ingredients in my mixer and had to check if everything was nicely pureed together.

I rolled out the mixture on the parchment paper covered baking pan. This was the hard part as my students desperately wanted to sample the product, but I explained that they needed to wait until it was done baking.

We put the jerky into the oven for it to bake which seemed to take four days and not four hours!

In the meantime I had Bailie wash up the cooking equipment in the sink. She enjoyed the bubbles.

Once it was all finished I put it on a plate making it look all fancy.

The three of us waited patiently for our first taste.
Keep the jerky in the refrigerator, but don’t worry, it won’t be in there for long. We managed to eat it all up in a couple days. It was really the best ever!
Give your dog something to be really thankful for – make some turkey jerky!

  17. Oh Mollie...what a fun post by your furiends. They made that cooking look fun and easy. How come the kitty disappeared. I hope she wasn't added to the jerky when no one was looking. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauriclo, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
