Denis the menace, the real life cat burglar!
If you live in the Luton area of England you may have
come face to face with the real life cat burglar Denis. The mischievous pet has
become infamous throughout his neighbourhood after stealing more than one
hundred garments from his nearby homes and gardens. Over an 18 month crime
spree the purr-pertrators’ haul includes bath towels, boxer shorts, footballs,
paintbrushes, a pair of slippers, and of course cuddly toys. Victims of the two
year old black and white cats’ antics often turn up at his home looking for their
belongings when they go missing. His biggest haul so far is a bath towel which
he dragged home through the streets and then into his house through the
cat-flap. He even managed to retrieve a woman’s sandal from a garden and
returned a week later to pinch the other one. Many of the items have been taken
off washing lines with clothes pegs still attached. We hope his owner is not
arrested for handling stolen goods! Owner
Lesley has built up two large boxes filled with Denis' loot which she keeps in
case anyone arrives to claim ownership of them. Are they labelled ‘Cat Litter’?
Does Denis kleptomani-cat look
like he gives a monkeys’? Does he hell! I am partial to stealing the odd ‘Pukka
Pie’, what are you good at stealing?
We also would like to take this opportunity to wish Mr.Pip Happy Birthday.
The Mr. Pip picture is priceless, your mom is so clever

That is pretty funny about the cat burglar! Kelly steals all Brooks' toys. She won't let him have any. Now when I give Brooks a toy he just drops it because he knows Kelly will come steal it. Even if I put Kelly in another room, he won't touch the toy. That makes me sad, but so far I can't find a solution. The only thing Kelly lets him have is tennis balls, which is great because he loves those!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture for Pip!
Woah....cool birthday treat!
ReplyDeleteNora

Very cute! When I accidentally drop some of my cat's dry food Daisy is always ready to steal some of it!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love the "Send Word Verification To The Guillotine" gadget! I think everyone should know that word verification is a huge bother, don't you?

We burst out laughing at Pip's birthday picture. Good one!
ReplyDeleteThe only one who "steals" things here would be Tutu. She steals socks (and makes HOLES in them!) and towels and rags...It's really so funny when she has a large bath towel in her mouth and trying hard not to step on the towel and trip while she is walking with it.
Brilliant picture of PIP and spooky Miss Haversham. What a great gift for his special day.
ReplyDeleteAs for what I steal..... Only hearts! *flutters eyelashes*
Love and licks, Winnie
Cake!!! Yes please, I'll have some cake! Thank you Miss Havisham! So nice of you to make an appearance for my birthday!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Wrigs says it figures that a silly cat would steal a bunch of stuff you can't eat! What's the point? Wrigs favors roaming the neighborhood to steal steaks and burgers off people's grills and plates, or stealing anything edible from anywhere at any time. (In his dreams, anyway. He doesn't actually get to execute these plans.) He does, however, admire Denis's ingenuity and dexterity in stealing items off washing lines.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Pip! Enjoy your cake!
Susan and Wrigs
