Playmobil, The Toys That Make You Think Why?
After we discovered the delights of Playmobils’
lets’s play bank robbers toy (here) we thought we’d have a look at what other
toys they have for sale. Oh and yes we came across a couple of winners. Firstly
there is Playmobils’ Security Check Point.
Then we thought we’d check out the customer reviews. Here is the best
one.
Great lesson for kids!

I was a little disappointed when I first bought this item, because the
functionality is limited. My 5-year-old son pointed out that the passenger's
shoes couldn’t be removed. Then, we placed a deadly fingernail file underneath
the passenger's scarf, and neither the detector doorway nor the security wand
picked it up. My son said, "that's the worst security ever!". But it
turned out to be okay, because when the passenger got on the Playmobil B757 and
tried to hijack it, she was mobbed by a couple of other heroic passengers, who
only sustained minor injuries in the scuffle, which were treated at the
Playmobil Hospital.
The best thing about this product is that it teaches kids about the
realities of living in a high-surveillance society. My son said he wants the
Playmobil Neighborhood Surveillance System set for Christmas. I've heard that
the CC TV cameras on that thing are pretty worthless in terms of quality and
motion detection, so I think I'll get him the Playmobil Abu-Gharib
Interrogation Set instead (it comes with a cute little memo from George Bush).
Then there
is the Playmobil Police Station Extension - Prison Cell
And the review........
Great teaching tool for future interrogators!

Wow! I got this toy to go with my kid's Guantanamo Bay
action set. I have to hand it to those kids working in Chinese labor camps they
really get the details down quite well. If I may give one suggestion please
make them so you can actually lock the doors. My son likes to play "So who
wants to be a terrorist" with his pet mice. Also, he complained that the
cavity exam room lacked restraints.
Happy days!
Hahaha... the toys kids have these days!
ReplyDeleteWe looove your review.

Haha, the reviews are funny! I must say, we love Playmobil around here...I grew up with it. So much fun. Don't know so much about the jail and security checkpoint, but the other toys are fun!
ReplyDeleteElyse and Riley
hahaha I like this review...but 169.99 for the secirity checkpoint? Think then I have to order the bank robbers toy first for inspirations ;o)...you were a super cute pup, Molly ;o)
ReplyDeleteHilarious - makes my old childhood games with a pair of plastic handcuffs used to handcuff my brother to car door handles seem boring!
ReplyDeleteThere was a bank robber in KC last week who got shot in the face by one of the workers. We were so proud of that worker and hope it keeps other dummies from doing that in the future!
ReplyDeleteNora
I loved it! So a kind review! :D
ReplyDeleteNice regards
Arno

Bwa ha ha! I want you and the other funny reviewers to get their own sketch comedy parody show. :)
ReplyDeleteI think the women from Smack the Pony better watch their backs.
I remember when I was a kid we had assault rifles that looked real!
ReplyDeleteThis post reminds me of the Harry Potter vibrating broomstick that they took off the market..
Having a tough time believing these are real toys, but there's something impawtant missing from both...the dogs! Where's the drug sniffing dog at the security checkpoint? Where's the guard dog patrolling the cell? Major omissions!
ReplyDeleteMolly, Momz and I want to nominate our pal Kirby from Krby's Dog Blog for this week's Share It Sunday http://kirbysdawgblog.com/
Kirby's a cutie and his momz has a great Thursday series on dog breeds going on...You'll like Kirby

Bailey, Hazel & Greta
Love your puppy pic! Wow, playmobil is getting so realistic. :)
ReplyDeleteThe reviews are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteThe little bipeds here have some of that Playmobil stuff too. But they really LOVE legos. Mom goes nuts because she spends hours helping them follow the directions to build the things, and then poof, one wrong move and they fall apart:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Those toys are really something but those reviews are really funny!
ReplyDeleteOMG that is so funny. I like to see that people are being sarcastic about this. Really I don't even understand WHO would think this was a good toy market. Perhaps to be used in therapy offices for the little children who are traumatized by TSA.
ReplyDeleteBwahaahaa! Enjoyed it. Love sarcasm !
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Baaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Molly, where do you find this stuff?!? This was doggone hilarious! *takes deep breath to try and stop laughing* (whispers) I am thinking your you-know-what may appear at you-know-where tomorrow so stop by!

ReplyDeleteLet meknow if you can that you got it alright!
Happy days indeed! The play mobile was one of the few toys my hippie parents tolerated, mainly because you could find women toys wearing trousers. I guess that changes it all! I love the reviews tho!
ReplyDeleteLots of love from Indigo, Malach and their hoomans
We have never seen such things! Haha
ReplyDeleteGotta wonder what their sales are like??

would it be possible for me to just give you the url of the youtube video,
ReplyDelete(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2STf587u18) or would that not work either? If not I shall pick another post asap!
Molly, you're born with those sweet eyes!!! I can't believe those toys are for real! It's not funny nor even educational! Kids should use creativity instead of it!
ReplyDeleteKisses
Laís
I don't even know what to say to that!!
ReplyDeleteHi Molly,
ReplyDeleteWell what can I say, perhaps the Home Office should think of investing in some of these, although not perfect they are alot better than the systems we have, Teresa May-Be or May-be-not MAY want to give a go.
