Things are getting very worrying on the food front. It's a dog's
life for taste tester Lucy Postins. She has just landed a job sampling bowls of
pet food. The mere thought of eating dog food is enough to turn most peoples'
stomachs but Ms Postins, says she absolutely loves her job. She not only
samples every individual ingredient that goes into the food but even chomps
down on the final product to make sure it tastes just right. Come on it's not like she's cracking open a can of pedigree tripe for
dinner every day! That's what I wanted to see and now I am so disappointed. Her
company The Honest Kitchen was the first pet food manufacturer to achieve a
'human grade' rating from the FDA which means the final product is legally allowed
to be described as 'human grade' on the product labels. The proof of the
pudding really is in the eating. So for all of you who get your food from The
Honest Kitchen don't tell your people they may set their sights on your chow.
Have a terrific tasty Tuesday and guard your munchies there are humans about.
We got an award yesterday from the lovely Nerissa. We were thrilled to receive The Opposites Attract Award and we place it on our awards page with pride. Thank you so much Nerissa and we pass this on to our tasty buddy Easy The Weimaraner.
you would need every condiment in the world to cover the taste of tripe - erk !!! And don't even get us started on the smell!
ReplyDeleteConcats on your award, molly! I wish they can teleport foodies from the honest kitchen to me.
ReplyDeleteThey look nice and tasty ingredients :) Have a wonderful Tuesday xx00xx

I HATE TRIPE! We had to eat it as it is very Spanish and French and I was forced to eat it. NOT ANY MORE do I have to put up with the rubber band (elastic) texture!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you dearest Miz M....you deserve an award for your wit and daily devotion to blogging!
MOL Molly my dad often says wonder what Madi's food taste like....maybe if I had some Honest Kitchen food he'd try it.

Congrats on your award! My dogs need have no worry. I have ZERO plans to sample their food!
ReplyDeleteWe have never had tripe is it like bacon? I bet that food is good, but our mom wouldn't eat ours for sure.

nope. couldn't do that job. there's lots of human food i won't eat, much less...
ReplyDeletecongrats on the award!
I heard a BBC news article years ago about a man in the UK who tastes pet food. I'd do it if the bucks were good and the hours short! (and I didn't have to swallow). Once I ate one of my dogs doggie biscuits. It looked and tasted like one of those cracker goldfish.
ReplyDeleteThat's not the right job for my staff, they eat no meat. And if I would get this job we had no punch line LOL. BTW: we have to drive 40 km one way to buy Worcester Sauce in a special super market, isn't that scandalous? (unfortunately mom is a junky) Congratulations to your award and thanks for niminating moi!!! Have a tasty tuesday dear Molly!
ReplyDeleteTolle Auszeichnung.
ReplyDeleteDa sitzt Molly und wartet.
liebe Grüße von Sylvia und Tibi
I think I will get my Dad to start tasting our food before he gives it to us!

ReplyDeleteYour Pals,

Hm, not exactly sure that Domeek's going to be eating any kibble soon...but kudos to Lucy and her taste buds! ;-) I wouldn't be too upset though if I ate human grub and they ate mine!!
ReplyDeleteShe's a better person than I am. I could never do that.
ReplyDeleteWe want her job
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Congratulations on the award. Bon appétit.
ReplyDeleteSome of that human grade pet food looks and smells good, but not sure I would want to taste it. Congrats on your award!
ReplyDeleteThe Honest Kitchen seems like a great dog food brand. Congrats on your award, Molly!
ReplyDeleteSo pensioners who have to eat dog food aren't too bad off??!!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy,Bella & Roxy
Shiner tried Honest Kitchen before. That certainly would be an interesting job! I'll admit that I tried one of Shiner's chicken jerky treats the other day... it didn't taste like anything to me really.
ReplyDeleteWe eat tripe twice a day and we LOVE it! yummmmmm
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

That's cool. Now this sounds ironic. Human-tested dog food. It's cool, nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your award, Molly! When I first read your post, I pictured someone eating brown kibble and I felt my stomach turn. Eating human grade, dehydrated food isn't as exciting.
ReplyDeleteThat human will end up with cat food breath!! I pity her errr …. intimates!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou look cute sitting up at the table!
ReplyDeleteMolly, I'm super-duper happy that you like your award.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Nissy
